Biden to Europe: 'get over' Bush election |
|
http://interestalert.com/brand/siteia.shtml?Story=st/sn/01180002aaa043da.upi&Sys=siteia&Fid=WORLDNEW&Type=News&Filter=World%20NewsBiden to Europe: 'get over' Bush electionWASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., urged Europe to "get over" the fact President Bush was re-elected and work with the United States on common problems. "I spent a little time in Europe recently, and I have one simple message: Get over it. Get over it. President Bush is our president for the next four years, so get over it and start to act in your interest, Europe," Biden said during the Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing to confirm U.S. Secretary of State nominee Condoleezza Rice. "But that requires us to engage in the hoped-for diplomacy from the gentle lady from Stanford." more: http://interestalert.com/brand/siteia.shtml?Story=st/sn/01180002aaa043da.upi&Sys=siteia&Fid=WORLDNEW&Type=News&Filter=World%20News

Apparently the next step is to attempt to control Bush's actions. I don't care. Whatever they (Dems) have to do. I kind of like that Biden is the guy who said this. Everyone here hates him anyways.

I won't get over Bush, and neither should the Europeans. The only common problem we have is that Bush is the greatest threat to peace since Adolf Hitler!

Maybe, it's all just getting a bit too dogmatic or,...hell, I dunno,...
The only "them" that I know AGAINST "us" is the neoconimperialist regime in power. "THEY" are the ones threatening our people, our liberties, our country, our world.
The neoconimperialists are the only "them" that threatens "us",...in my world,...which expects NO perfection.

Why would anyone think Biden was anything other than a "neoconimperialist". He has supported Caligula and his policies right down the line - only arguing about "methodology" and "planning". These fucks have got to get it that it is the policies themselves that are wrong, not just their implementations!

Call me ignorant, but I can think of about a dozen greater threats than the USA to Europe.
Care to explain it to me?
As a matter of fact, I don't see the USA has a threat to Europe at all.
They seem to routinely ignore our wishes regardless of of world dominance

and it took an additional Danmark, Norway and France before the real fighting back begun.
No Europe didn't forget Poland. And it may take a country or more more until the rest of the Globe is prepared to respond.
And no Europe won't get over it. But go ahead and give the Allies a justification to dissolve NATO.

by their acts shall ye know them....
Time to create a new party different from the business as usual demopublicans and republicrats.
Hopefully Boxer and the 31 representatives who actually get it will come to the same conclusions and help move our country into a new direction away from this hateful single party state by creating a new power bloc.

How very sad. Here we have a woman, a National Security advisor, who lied, over and over, who condoned the attack on Iraq, who is complicit and responsible for promoting a slaughter on 1oo,oo0 innocent people, who spouts lies one after the other, being confirmed as the person who will represent us all over the world and impliment the fascist policies of an insane man
Is it only me, an ornidary citizen who is disturbed by the actions of these people? I know fascism when I see it, and we are it.
How sad the condition of my country, when advocating this comes from those who should not be doing so.
How sad. I am so sad to see it happen over and over.

|
That Europe holds the last flickering flame of freedom in it's hands, outside of a handful of other nations, some in S America, Japan, S. Africa perhaps.
The Free World should remain quite guarded, I think, when dealing with BushPutinist states or Communist states.
Rightfully so, Europe. Rightfully so.
(I hate to say it, but it is the unvarnished truth)
I mean, back in the old USA when we were the capital of the Free World, did we deal unguardedly with the Soviets?
Why expect Europe to behave any differently now that the shoes are on the opposite feet?
And hey Biden! Maybe you should have tried talking tough to your Emperor when his people rigged Ohio and Florida. Or when he lied to your face about Iraqi WMDs.

Maybe they can take over the USA by vote. The EU constitution is better than the Dem platform anyhow. The EU could give American liberals the deciscive economic clout we presently lack in our current poilitical duopoly. Maybe they could start by taking over our absurd healthcare system. Hey Britain is trying to save money by outsourcing operations in France.

When will you people realize that it's not Bush but corporate propaganda machine that is your worst enemy, enemy so lethal that I have become convinced that ANY MEANS of action against that institution is justified. They made American people so scared with their lies that they accepted the war, how about letting them taste their own medicine...?

They wept with us and offered help on 9/11/01, and after they were rebuffed by *², they still liked "US"..but hated HIM. The were "sure" we would toss him out in 04..Now they are not too sure about US either.. They STILL hate *², and now "we" are on their list too, because we did not do what was necessary to boot his ass OUT.. To the rest of the world this can only mean one of TWO things:
1. We actually LIKE the asshole 2. We were not smart enough or cunning enough to defeat him..
Either way, we look stupid to the rest of the world..

Keep spouting that message and you will soon be without a job!
I don't think this a "hate-fest" like poster 1 suggested would happen. I think what has happened here is Democrats are sick and tired of hearing the Democrat leaders SELL OUT! I, personally, am sick of hearing RIGHT-WING speak come out of the mouths of Democrats!
We need to let the Democrat leaders in Washington know that they are there to REPRESENT US! NOT try to represent the other side!!! Compromise doesn't mean surrender!!!

Ok,
Don´t expect any progress on trade issues within the next four years,
Don´t expect European support on foreign affairs matters such as Iran, Iraq or China which frankly are not in our best interest.
Expect Old Europe to make domestic political points on the expense of the US on issues such as social security, democracy, human rights, macro economics etc.
And Mr. Biden, we did not elect the idiot in the first place (did the US?), we have nothing to get over - it is you who will have the benefit to first hand enjoy his policies the next four years. Get over that.

What was I thinking when I thought you were one of the smart Dems? No, rather, you have the same bull-in-a-china shop diplomacy as the chimp in the White House whose arse you smooch.
Hey, can someone wake me up when this nightmare is over?!

77. Not "OUR" president... |
|
He's not our president... he's a felon and a war criminal... and there is nothing to get over.
The diplomacy biden wants will simply be stonewalling the imperialists as much as possible, as bush has crossed the line, and that the american "s"election system does not punish criminals, don't expect that crap to fly once you leave US borders. When the mafia don's think themselves above the law and declare themselves kings, extrajudicial means are used to cap them. As well, this mafia crime of the GOP must be viewed similarly.
Ha... biden is just a hater and a fool... requiring his neck stretched for treason in supporting the war crimes and the war criminal.

88. biden's arrogant hubris is his undoing |
|
He's frustrated, and he's dangerous. He's a hawk through and through and an all too obvious snake tongue. If this man runs in 2008, I think it is our job to make sure he doesn't stay in contention.
He's got his shorts in a wad because during the run up to the Iraq war, he and Lugar ran the committee that discussed the possible outcome of invading Iraq.
During the course of questioning, biden thought it was possible to get Russia on board with the invasion, because Iraq owed Russia money and the invasion would help get that money back. He literally sat there before the committee and had the audacity to promote a "cut up the pie" proposal.
Fuck you, joey biden. You were burned, and you're still getting your ass kicked on the world stage. You get over it. You're in way over your head, and your back slapping self importance ain't gonna bail you out of this blunder in the form of the current Administration. Mere words ain't gonna change reality either, and Condi Rice is a train wreck waiting to happen to this once great nation. Then what words will you use to defend the changing concept of what is in our national interests?
