WA State GOP gets specific about election charges
State GOP gets specific about election charges

Court filing is effort to speed up calls for governor's race revote

By CHRIS McGANN
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER CAPITOL CORRESPONDENT

The state Republican Party presented more precise allegations yesterday of voter fraud and election irregularities, hoping to speed up the fact-finding portion of its legal challenge to Christine Gregoire's election as governor.

In a filing in Chelan County Superior Court, the GOP said preliminary comparisons of a statewide voter file obtained Saturday from the Secretary of State's Office and other databases showed:

*437 provisional ballots were counted without first being verified.
*37 felons who have not had the right to vote restored voted in the election.
*Nine dead people were credited with voting.
*20 people in Washington who also voted in another state.
*10 people voted twice.

Much of what was in the documents has been discussed before, but yesterday's court filing provided more specific details about the Republicans' arguments in their attempt to have a revote in the governor's race.
...
Tomorrow, Chelan County Superior Court Judge John Bridges will hear arguments for and against expediting the fact-finding segment of the lawsuit. Republicans will also oppose the Democrats' request to dismiss the case entirely on grounds that only the Legislature, not the courts, has the constitutional authority to settle a contested governor's election.

Definately widespread election fraud if the entire election isn't completely reconciled 2-3 weeks after it is finished.

I would encourage every DU'er to file lawsuits with your banks if you can't get your bank account to match your Quicken register.

4. The WA Dem plan may be to just let the GOPigs look like jerks
You can be sure the Dems are watching this -- and remember that our new Governor is a tough lawyer in her own right. She isn't a dummy -- she fought hard to get into the Governor's mansion.

But the west coast GOPigs do have a habit of not winning and then using back door tricks to gain the Governor's mansion (Der Gropenator in CA for example).

Also remember that the WA Dems have been battling the GOPigs -- the religious right -- for over 2 decades.

The only reason why the GOPigs election rigging didn't work in the first place is that touch screens are only in Snohomish Co. and WA is overwhelmingly democratic. In the last primary where we had to declare party affiliation on our ballots -- a huge majority of votes choose the Democratic label.

The Dems are holding the trump card -- Snohomish.

6. As well as 437 provisional that weren't verified FIRST,
were they verified AFTER?

Or 9 dead people; Absentee ballots? There are probably 100's of people that voted in the election coutnrywide that are no longer with us. Listing "dead people voting" is just a grandstanding tactic unless they have proof of otherwise.

And where was all this concern for fraud when ole dino Lossiman was sitting on a 42 vote lead and calling for concession?

7. My question
Are these all cherry picked to be votes for Gregoire?? If so, dems need to be gathering the voting errors who went for Rossi. There have been many LTE about this and somewhere I read there were a higher percentage of voting errors that went for Rossi.I hope this does in his political career in Washington state.

10. One man SAID that he placed a vote for his dead wife FOR ROSSI
She got an absentee ballot---she died before the ballots were received (therefore, making her inelligible to vote). He VOTED FOR HER and VOTED FOR ROSSI (there was a story about this in either the seattle times or PI). He even said that he voted for Rossi FOR HER (on her absentee ballot) because (in his words) he knew "how much she hated Gregoire"

Hmmm....so at least 1 of the 9 dead votes was for Rossi...

I wonder if that man will be charged with voter fraud? He knew his wife was dead, and he knew she couldn't legally have her ballot cast...yet he cast a vote in her name (fraud) after she died (Fraud) anyways.

Haven't heard much about that guy. I'll look for a link....

9. I love how they make an issue of this now
and not during the first two recounts when Rossi was winning.

I love how they're insinuating that these votes must have ALLLLL been cast for Gregoire. I mean, we all know how moral-driven Republicans are. :eyes:

So 9 dead people voted...is it possible...just possible...that they died after their vote was cast (I do believe this is legal). THere was an article in either the times or PI where a man ACKNOWELDGED that he cast a vote in his dead wife's name --- she had died before the absentee ballots were sent out --- he VOTED FOR ROSSI because (in his words) he knew how much "she hated Gregoire".

sooooo, lil Dino...seems that we know of at least ONE dead person who voted for YOU

20 people in Washington voted in another state
and
10 people voted twice

Of course, we'll never know what shenanigans went on with the electronic voting machines......we don't need to worry about that....let's focus on 9 dead people who voted...yeah....

Sore Loserman, anyone?

11. Let's See If I've Got This Response Down Yet..
1) Get over it, you whiners!
2) Conspiracy Theory Tinfoil Hat
3) Those aren't enough bad votes to overturn the election so we shouldn't bother looking at irregularities
4) PWND!
5) How come Repukes are always too stupid to fill out ballots correctly?
6) It was a simple isolated machine error
7) It's time for us all to move on, come together, and support our governor
8) Look over there! Al Qaida!
9) More Bush voters cooperated with pollsters
10) Sounds like a man-date to me

Ok. That should cover it...

12. The GOP has to prove that 63% of these people voted for Gregoire
If that were even possible, then Rossi would win by 1 vote. It seems unlikely that that could even be implied, however, since the election was pretty much 50-50. Even if all 512 of these voters were from King County, it would still be a pretty insecure claim.

Not to mention that the only dead voter who's intention is actually known voted for Rossi!
