Chinese Ties to a Suspected Terror Plot in Boston Are Pursued

BOSTON, Jan. 19 - Federal law enforcement officials said Wednesday that they were searching for four Chinese citizens who may have been involved in plotting a possible terrorist action in Boston.

Michael J. Sullivan, the United States attorney for Massachusetts, and Kenneth Kaiser, the special agent in charge of the F.B.I.'s Boston office, said in a statement that the authorities had received a tip that was "uncorroborated and of unknown reliability" about such a plot. They released the names and photographs of two Chinese men and two Chinese women whom they were looking to bring in for questioning.

The statement said that none of the four - Zengrong Lin, Wen Quin Zheng, Xiujin Chen and Guozhi Lin - were on "any previously existing watch list."

Federal law enforcement officials said they were not raising the terror alert status in Boston.

The authorities were informed about the four in a tip from a single anonymous source, said Mayor Thomas M. Menino. The tip, apparently received by federal officials in California, suggested that the four might have entered the United Sates recently from Mexico.

I checked w/the Associated Press a few moments ago, and it said this alert was rec'd by the Mayor of Boston at 10:30 a.m. Having been home most of the day caught-up in a snowstorm, I didn't see anything about it. Though earlier tonight I caught a mere snip mentioned on Faux. I never ever watch that station (spitting out the thought of it), but nevertheless I was hoping to catch something regarding this.

And "uncorroborated and of unknown reliability" seems very loose in terminology, not to mention they have 4 photos of these so called unknown's.

Sounds fishy to me. Bushites are (hopefully) sticking it Kerry, and us, his supporters. I can get the gist of it.
