Iraq Militants Promise Long War as bush** Takes Vow (Years)
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20050120/ts_nm/iraq_dc&cid=564&ncid=1480

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraqi militants said on Thursday they would fight for "months and years" to free their country from U.S.-led occupation as their nemesis President Bush (news - web sites) was inaugurated in Washington for a second term.

Hours before Bush was sworn in, a group led by al Qaeda ally Abu Musab al-Zarqawi released an audio tape urging Islamists to prepare for a lengthy holy war.

The group, which has staged most of the deadliest suicide attacks in Iraq (news - web sites) in the run-up to elections on Jan. 30, said it was crushing the morale of "tyrant" America.

~snip~

In another development, insurgent group Ansar al-Sunna said it had killed a Briton and a Swede although the authenticity of the claim, posted on the Internet, could not be verified.

3. How ungrateful!!
Don't these people know that we're bringing "freedom" to them?

Didn't they listen to Bush's speech today?

Sheesh!! These people could be a little more grateful--as we bomb the shineola out of their country, destroy their homes, kill their neighbors, stack their relatives into human pyramids, murder their friends, obliterate their towns, roll tanks through their neighborhoods, shoot innocent civilians and force them into refugee tents.

I swear! You try and help people and this is the thanks we get!

4. Maybe soon after the elections (if that happens)
we can leave and the insurgents can get back to bombing the Kurds and Shiites.

5. History shows, they can out last us.
They will out last us or we will meet the fate of Russia over the next decade. A nation dragged down by its military-industrial-complex.

7. What?????
Where the hell are the flowers and loving embraces we were told we would receive after we "liberated" these people?

I am sooooo confused. Bush told us they would love us bombing their country to smithereens.
