Cheney acknowledges error
Friday, January 21, 2005
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Vice President Dick Cheney said Thursday that he overestimated the pace of Iraq's recovery from the U.S.-led invasion because he didn't realize the lasting devastation wrought by Saddam Hussein on his people after the first Gulf War.

I can't believe its breaking news...but it is.

I would probably laugh, if they weren't such scary, selfish, warmongering creeps.

4. Acknowledges error while implanting lie
the lasting devastation wrought by Saddam Hussein on his people after the first Gulf War.

Blaming the "devastation" on Saddam is a blatant lie. The things that were in disrepair could've been far more easily fixed and ameliorated than he's giving credit for. This is JUST a way to shift blame to that evil-doer Saddam, the one we had no business deposing in the first place.

6. What NEW admission was that?
That was already said by somebody from that administration a long time ago. Besides, they are not really admitting anything, they are blaming Sadham for the problems because Iraq wasn't taken care of properly. So what was the admission? A little ignorance on how bad of shape Iraq was in? I guess a little bombing by the U.S. didn't help matters either.

8. I think Rummy said it best, poetically
The Unknown
As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don't know
We don't know.
