Sky News/Sky Readers Savage Bush
George Bush is "definitely" not a force for good in the world, according to a Sky News Online survey. More than 6,000 people have been taking part in our poll to mark the start of President Bush's next four years in power. Nearly half of Sky News Online viewers polled said George Bush was "definitely not" a force for good in the world. Some 45% of readers said the US President would have a negative influence on the world during his second term while 19% said he could "possibly" be a force for good.

And more than 70% of readers said Mr Bush had not made the world a safer place. The Sky News Online poll echoes surveys showing that despite Mr Bush's resounding mandate from the US electorate to rule, the rest of the world does not share Americans' confidence in the world's most powerful man. A BBC World Service poll earlier this week showed that more than half of those surveyed across the globe felt that Mr Bush had made the world a more dangerous place. The Sky News Online poll shows our readers have little faith in Mr Bush's ability to bring peace to the Middle East.

More than 80% said the president would not stop the violence in the region. And just 14% believed the Middle East was at the top of the administration's agenda. The 'war on terror' was put at the top of the list of Mr Bush's objectives with the US economy second. A massive 67% said oil was "very important" to the administration's policy making, compared to 7% who said it was "not important".

When asked whether they trusted Mr Bush more or less than four years ago, 38% said there was no change in their level of trust because "I never trusted him". Just over 34% said they trusted him less while 14% said they trusted him more. Around 37% said America's relationship with Europe would "get worse" or "stay the same" while his relationship with Tony Blair will also stay the same according to 60%.

5. Including soccer my friend.
Except it's "football". That activity most Americans call football is merely a poor imitation of rugby. :)

RESOUNDING MANDATE? 51% is a resounding mandate? What planet do they live on?

8. Where the fuck is this "resounding mandate" coming from?
This is the second article tonight to use such terminology. It seems like code. "Let's make sure everyone believes the overwhelming majority of the American people are complicit in this man's plans." Why are they doing this? There was no "resounding mandate."

12. At best, it is a split decision
But with the vote shaving, the voter suppression, and Fun With Diebold, they managed to cadge enough votes to squeeze out a win.

It's how they do shit--keep repeating it until the dummies take it as gospel. Saddam has WMDs, SaddamisOsamais911...and don't forget 911!!! Did I mention 911???? All them furriners look alike!

13. Good poll.
I like that they allowed this option:

When asked whether they trusted Mr Bush more or less than four years ago, 38% said there was no change in their level of trust because "I never trusted him".
