US alone in seeking ouster of IAEA chief: report
US alone in seeking ouster of IAEA chief: report

WASHINGTON, Jan. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- A Bush administration campaign to replace the head of the United Nations nuclear watchdog agency has faltered after all 15 countries approached by US diplomats, including Britain, Canada and Australia, refused to support the plan, the Washington Post said in a report on Saturday.

The White House has hoped at lease one of the above-mentioned English-speaking allies would agree to block Mohamed El Baradei from a third term as director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

However, with the United States proposing no other candidate, no country was willing to turn against ElBaradei, who is admired within the agency for his willingness to challenge the Bush administration's assertions on Iraq and Iran, the report said.

"It is on hold right now. Everyone turned us down, even the Brits," the report quoted one US policymaker who was involved in lobbying against ElBaradei as saying, adding that a British official has confirmed that account.

1. Fool Me Once - Shame on You ...
Fool Me Twice - Shame on Me.

They just told *Co they will not be fooled twice.

Unfortunately - *Co doesn't care - and will do their own thing - whether ElBaradei is there or not. *Co has the U.S. MSM in his pocket. They'll find a way to discredit ElBaradei in the press. The American sheeple will buy into it and - it's on to Iran.

Look out - because it's happening again.

They're sowing the seeds.

1. Condi's - "Outcasts of Tyranny"

2. Cheney's - "Maybe Israel will act first."

3. *'s - "Fire of Freedom"

As the headline read in Thurs. U.S.A. Today - "Four years later, he's not the same George W. Bush"

No he's not - He's More Dangerous This Time - Because We Let Him Get Away With It The Last Four Years.

2. US is going to be "alone" more and more and more while Bush is in power

Just read that foreign countries are more and more reluctant to invest over here. We won't have to worry about our isolationist policies. No one else will want to have anything to do with this country.

3. El Baradei refuses to play their game of global hegemony
Undersecretary John Bolton has pushed – unsuccessfully – for nearly two years to get the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors to refer to the UN Security Council what he alleges are violations by Iran of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Unsuccessfully, because the IAEA has concluded after an exhaustive special inspection that there is no evidence that Iran has violated the NPT.

By signing the NPT, Iran had promised not to acquire or produce nukes. Under the Safeguards Agreement they signed with the IAEA, Iran was required to "declare" all their "nuclear materials," however acquired or produced. IAEA inspectors carry out periodic on-site inspections to ensure that there have been no diversions of nuclear materials from peaceful activities to the production of nukes.

about the Bushes being so high class. They have been robber barons for generations and that has no relation to class.

8. U.S. Power plays will get weaker with time
We will be ignored and side-stepped in this world for our actions. The ignoring of the UN will come to haunt us in the future. We will get butted out of world politics, and will lose our influence. :hurts:
