1. It's a good thing he's from Texas
for instance, an all Wyoming cabinet would just be crazy. We should kick Texas out and he can be their dictator for life. Everyone wins :)

8. But where does he stand on "BPL" - Broadband over the Power Lines
This is a give away to the power companies. In an "Ideal" world of no "harmonics" and no "interference" and perfect filters - BPL would allow radio, tv, cable, and internet to come into your house over the electric lines.

I said "Ideal" world - electronics and electromagnetic interference and Fourier Analysis tell you things start out less then ideal and get worse from there - and don't get better.

BPL is no gift to the consumer --- you (or the manufacturer) will have to build "band pass filters" into all of your electronics -- or you will get interference - like real interference (which you may hear as a steady "hums" - but which will cause problems with some high frequency dependent appliances). Plus the band pass filters do attenuate the signal you are trying to pass.

Typical - whether it is the FCC or FERC -- subsidize the big power companies.
