Israel to U.S.: Step up pressure on Syria, to aid Abbas
According to government sources, Israel will tell the U.S. administration that the main threat to Abbas' leadership comes from Syria, Iran and Hezbollah. "Anyone who wants Abu Mazen to succeed must increase the pressure on them," one source said over the weekend. Officials added that Hezbollah's attacks in the Har Dov region last week were provocations aimed at disrupting the recent Israeli-Palestinian thaw.

Israel will, however, oppose any attempt to view the initial steps against terror taken by Abbas last week as fulfillment of the PA's obligations under the first stage of the road map peace plan and as justification for skipping straight to final-status negotiations, sources said.

They expressed fears that the PA will arrive at an international conference in London on March 1, which was called to strengthen Abbas' government, and declare that it has fulfilled its first-stage road map obligations, leaving the ball in Israel's court.

3. You got the "ownership" of politicians wrong
BIG OIL

BIG OIL is the Bush Dynasty, and the Bush Dynasty is BIG OIL -- and the terrorists are a Saudi diversion, that is "Send the terrorists to Afghanistan or Iraq or Syria or Palestine so that they don't attack BIG OIL's assets in "The Kingdom" or the Royal Family."

It's is to some extent BIG OIL and the Saudi Royals playing along with the terrorists (through Wahabi Charities) the way candy shop owners played along with the Mafia in the old "Grade B Gangsta Flicks" of my childhood.

Big Oil will at least back off when their business starts to be hurt
by all the instability.

Fundie Domionionists want to mess things up as much as possible

2. I got a better idea: invade Israel to save Syria, Iran, and Palestine!
That would be a three for one deal.

9. Energy Independence -- for everybody's security
I would rather build a Calpine-PG&E NUCLEAR plant in the Don Edwards Wildlife Preserve (the foot of SF Bay in Alviso CA - on the earthquake liquefaction prone Guadalupe Delta) then send one more American to anybody's war (Israel, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Big Oil).

Further - I would rather build wind turbines in West Virginia and Pennsylvania and Cape Cod and the Altamont Mountains (out my window) then send one more American to anybody's war (Israel, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Big Oil). I value American kids higher then bats.

And Bush's next target (the noise is starting) to protect his big oil buddies (and the Hummer driver soccer moms) is Venezuela.

8. We went to war in Iraq as a favor to Israel (according to Condi Rice)
so why not have more American blood being shed for the sake of some religous fanatics living in settlements in Occupied Palestine?

10. I knew Condi when she was Provost at Stanford
... and Barbara Boxer is right --- Condi wouldn't know the truth if it bit her in the butt.

As they say on AAR - this is one Administration where competence (or honesty) doesn't matter -- just blind dumb loyalty.

Best thing that ever happened at Stanford was when Condi left and John Hennessy became Provost.;)
