4. Nah, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Sudan still do it too. Nice company we're in. |

Europeans have evolved past such barbarism as state-sanctioned murder.

or a sadist? You call Wesley Clark a war criminal but advocate "frying" a murder SUSPECT.
Perhaps you are a hypocrite, and I care not whether you have 1000+ posts.

demonstrate our americentrism - and forget in the heat of passion - that we are pretty much alone (and singularly alone in developed nations) on the issue of capitol punishment - and the heat of anger - let such expressions rip.

10. Gee, that's convenient... |
|
Of course, it would be wrong and (illegal in the US) to want to fry the bastard who ordered the bombings of Afghanistan and Iraq which killed thousands of civilians. Those victims are not better off dead, despite the incessant droning of the neo-con spinmeisters.
But hey, that's America for ya: Hoping that a murder suspect in Sweden (who may have killed one person) is fried yet unable to hope for the same thing to happen to a mass murderer residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue because that would be illegal.

8. Still wondering about motive. |

Story was short... more to come. Sad tale, though, wish we could stop violence. Wars don't help. Besides those killed and hurt in wars themselves, studies show an increase in murder and suicide during periods of warl

11. I think the BBC reported yesterday that the murderer left DNA |
|
at the scene (apparently blood was found which dind't match Lindh's).
So, if this goes to trial, and there's good chain of custody of the evidence, and this was true (and not something leaked to get the suspect to do something to reveal identity), and the suspect has cuts, and wasn't set up, there's a good chance that they'll be able to convict the actual murderer.

15. Somebody can explain me please |
|
what was the logic behind when they presented in the media the pictures taken by the security cameras? These images presented the killer with blurred face. :eyes:

16. They thought it was going to influence witnesses |
|
Witnesses might replace their memories with the images they saw on TV. If the image on TV wasn't the murderer, then any evidence witnesses might have provided would be corrupted and lost.

18. Why they need witnesses |
|
if they have the pictures recorded by the security cameras? (not to mention the blood samples...)
I think in the priority list first should be to catch the killer and after this cames to provide the evidences.
Some other idea?

20. The security cameras didn´t record the murder! |
|
There only were cameras at the exits of the shop. The fotos were published to find the man, whom the eye-witnesses had identified from the films of these cameras to be the assassinator.

21. This is a better explanation, but still not OK |
|
Let's start from the beginning. There were many pictures of different people leaving the shopping center. The eyewitnesses picked out the picture of a certain person - the supposed killer. Later on this picture was published by the media with blurred face, because an image with clear face would influence the eyewitnesses??? But those eye witnesses already made their choice from pictures with clear face...
I'm not sure how is this done in reality... but in American movies it's very common, when criminals are running, they just switch on the TV, and they can see their own photos - clear, face easily recognizable. I've never saw a film where police tried to catch the criminals publishing blurred face images to not influence the eyewitnesses.
Some more ideas?
