SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Four members of the Sacramento City Fire Department are in trouble for having sex on duty, fire officials confirmed Monday.

The investigation reportedly began Friday, after Chief Joe Cherry (pictured, below) heard rumors that firefighters from Station No. 12 were having sex on duty. Officials said evidence was later found to substantiate those rumors.

"I don't know where this is going to lead," Cherry said. "What I know is bad. What I know is painful. What I know is that I'm going to make it transparent."

The sexual activity was consensual and much of it happened at the station, but did not affect any calls for service and did not involve any members of the public, officials said.

These folks take a lot of risks in their jobs. Let them reduce stress in whatever whay they see fit, as long as it doesn't interfere with their ability to do their jobs (see pants-pulling comment above).

10. The Sacto FD's had some incidents last year like when some firefighters

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A civil claim was filed Wednesday by a woman who says she was trapped and sexually assaulted by two Sacramento city firefighters at the Porn Star Costume Ball earlier this year.


It's the same case in which the district attorney's office determined there was insufficient evidence to file criminal charges.

Sacramento attorney Wendy York filed the claim on behalf of a young woman she says was traumatized and humiliated.

"The only way that we can get justice for a crime, a sexual assault by this fire department by on-duty firefighters, is through the civil courts because the district attorney has elected not to prosecute," York said.

Do they get to volunteer for sex too? I always thought the firefolk mainly played cards or polished the trucks. I'm out of date AGAIN!!
