Three in four Sunnis won't vote in Iraq's elections: poll
WASHINGTON (AFP) - Three out of four Sunni Arabs will not vote in Iraq's weekend elections, while a majority of Sunnis and Shiites want US troops to leave the country immediately or as soon as an elected government is in place, according to a new poll.

About 76 percent of Sunnis say they "definitely will not vote" in Sunday's elections, according to the poll conducted by US-based Zogby International for Abu Dhabi television. Only nine percent of Sunnis say they will cast ballots.

Conversely, 80 percent of Shiites, Iraq's majority group, and 57 percent of Kurds say they will "likely" or "definitely" vote.

1. Found it interesting that about 250,000 expatriate
Iraqis living in Israel will not be able to vote because Israel doesn't have diplomatic ties to Iraq.

2. A vast majority of ex-pat Iraqs
will never go back to Iraq, why are they allowed to vote?

3. This guarantees civil war - Shiites vs Sunnis, with the Kurds ducking
They are on a collision course, according to the polling numbers. The PNAC's main goal is to keep the country paralyzed with factional fighting. BushCo will be happy to provide the ammo.

7. Wouldn't you think the Sunnis
with their history and outnumbered 3-1, would be doing all they can to avert a Civil War?

I'm assuming they will get hurt the worst by one.

8. The Sunnis will not ever agree to a democracy
They are outnumbered and worried. They will rely on aid from Sunnis in other countries. There is a lot of duplicity and intrigue in this whole mess. The Shiites think they are playing us for fools by rope-a-doping during constant attacks on their clerics. They evidently figure that they can garner our sympathy and future financial help, even as they ease us out the door.

But in the end, Bushco is using them for suckers, letting them do our dirty genocide work on the Sunnis. The Sunnis number only about 5 million strong, and are gathered into tightly packed population centers. Our military could make mincemeat of them in a week with a concentrated air campaign. Yet that would be too messy for Jrs. legacy. And, besides, the goal from the start was to have medium grade civil war so as to keep them occupied and away from Israel. AWOL is going to let the Shiites dominate a false government, hastily build their military, and then leave. Mission accomplished.

4. What are they using to vote?
Optical scanners complete with white stickers for undesirable candidates or Touch screens complete with modem phone numbers for tabulation machines?

5. and the other one was lying
This is going to be a farce. The Kurds, who are almost completely safe, are only going to get 57%? hahahaha

Let's break this monkey down. There is going to be HEAVY security at the polling centers, assuming they open and have workers, which is not a safe assumption. Security=long lines. Now, say I am a likely young lad with 30 lbs of explosives and nails taped to my body. Where would I want to be? A long line sounds good.

This is going to be a disgrace.

6. The way Bush has set this up
is like only allowing Jesusland to vote for president. This is such a farce. Over 7,000 candidates are vying for 265 possitions and those names have been silent until the vote. Are the American public aware of this farce? I doubt it.
