(CBS) <snip>Maj. Scott Bleichwehl says he believes there is too much focus on news that isn't so good in Iraq.

To combat this focus on negativity, he runs a Web site featuring images showing progress http://www.dvidshub.net/img_archives/ in Iraq. snip

Trevor Davis, a 26 year-old blogger, runs a Web site that features disturbing images that most Americans don't see on the evening news or in a newspaper.

Davis says he created http://www.crisispictures.org because he doesn't feel Americans are getting the whole picture from Iraq.

"I really believe that if we're going to take responsibility for this war we have to know what its costs are," he says.

Davis's Web site focuses on images of suffering in Fallujah.

2. More PR from a pathetic Bush "Butt Boy"
Progress huh. Like the 37 dead Marines of a few days ago, or maybe the fact that there are daily car bobmbings and assassinations.
And let's not forget the fact that 70% of Iraq is without heat, electricity or sanitation. Yeah, boy things are great down there. Maybe this little punk should take his head out of George's ass and WAKE UP.

4. The neocons learned many lessons from mistakes in the Nixon days.
And that is why we do not get inundated nightly with graphic scenes of the current escapades in the follies of belligerence. If the war appeared on the tube like Vietnam did in the 60s & early 70s, there would be a bit more ruckus made.

We need to be the media if America is to survive. We need to get the info and images out to more people.

5. So what would it take to get the addresses of these sites on the home
page of Netscape, Aol, perhaps on the CNN ticker, on billboards along I-95, in magazines and so forth. $1000? $2000? $5000? $10,000? Whatever the cost, the payback would be more than we could imagine.

7. even if you could come up with the $$, they probably wouldn't run the ads
Media proved that before Nov when they refused to run some of the 527's ads. Google is already getting ornery about stuff and taking down some links. No, we have to get it out via newsletters and links from other sites. One could contact those mainstream sites, I suppose, but don't know how agreeable they would be.

The web proved pretty powerful. We just keep pounding at it. There's a reason the Congress is talking internet tax ;) There's a reason they are trying to keep the public from using computers in public libraries. They know the web is our tool.

More activists getting more LTTE out seems to be a help on some issues. Might be a good thing to push. If you read a lot of different newspapers online, you can see efforts made in LTTE. Anti-junta sentiment is spreading that way, as is the screaming from the Kool Aide drinkers. We need to get more LTTE on the war and include links. That helps word of mouth. We need parents, wives, grown children of military personnel to get truth out there.

I live in a VERY GOP area. There is getting to be a lot of questions about the war around here. There is no local TV and no radio beyond a crackly station playing CW music and RW pundits. The locals are hearing from kin overseas and just talking to neighbors. The truth is seeping out. We just gotta put more pressure on the dam the junta has on information.

6. Why in the hell are they showing us disgusting photos like these!
Oh, I'm going to hold my breath and pray to Jesus over this until the negative images go awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.....

There. Now I'm ready for some Fox TV, Bible reading, two 32-oz. steaks, a Joe Lieberman speech, and the missionary position--perhaps all at once!
