Shrub claims Iraq ties to Al Qaida, reply to CNN's John King but admits
Saddam himself "no connection to 9/11". No link was just on Wolfie's crappy show.
These people are very accomplished liars, that's for sure.

3. The key quote from President Whistleass himself
"There's no question that Saddam Hussein had al-Qaida ties," the president said. But he also said, "We have no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the Sept. 11" attacks.

6. President "Solomon" cuts the baby in half
Even though those wily Al Qaeda types flatly declared Saddam to be an infidel, they were really good friends, and in cahoots, but Saddam wasn't involved in Al Qaeda's greatest hit piece ever.

Spinning it like Alan Freed!

5. Cheney is getting thrown to the wolves
This is fascinating. What exactly is coming out on Cheney. They are tossing him to the side. First Rummy, then Condie, now Shrubby.

8. Can someone say "overplayed his hand?"
Cheney is at the last step before going over the cliff. He has asked the USSC to save his ass regarding energy meetings after the last court ruled with Judicial Watch and The Sierra Club. Problem is, Cheney already went "all in" with the Dec 12 USSC bush* v. Gore decision. Fat Tony can't pull this one off AND hope to be deemed anywhere near serious.

But, alas, they've whored themselves out this far, so they still yet turn one more trick for dick.

2. Wow. This is going to come as news to a lot of people.
Edited on Wed Sep-17-03 04:22 PM by grytpype
About 70% of them.

The Bush Junta has painted itself into a corner: it can't tell the truth about ANYTHING without risking a blowup.

This is going to be just like the Yellowcake Scandal, except it's going to go deeper and run longer.

11. Actually, what's sad is they really AREN'T that good at lying
They haven't been able to keep their stories straight about anything since 1/20/2001. My own children lie a lot better than Bush does.

The thing is, the press has been giving them a free ride since 9/11, so they've been getting away with it.

9. send in the comedians, this is funny "oops" type stuff
Democrats need to get the comedians out there, they need to get America laughing at the bush team, once America sees them as the joke they are, the bush team is history.

17. why no followups?
Why didn't the next reporter ask "How long have you know that Saddam had nothing to do with 9-11?"

18. I saw that spectical with my own eyes.
The look on bush's face was a hoot.
I was alittle upset that I had to watch tv while my wife was using our computer to do real work (I was having withdrall symptoms)but I got over it once I saw that.
I was just surfing mindlessly and saw fox interupt their "news" segment to show bush announcing some energy plan with beaming idiot repug senators on either side of him. I quickly changed the channel. msnbc had the same crap on. What I found interesting was that CNN's Wolf Blitzer was doing his bit and out of the blue he said they were interupting the news because John King had just asked bush if Saddam was involved with 9/11. Wolf zeroed in on only that question; what gives? Is CNN going back to reporting the news to educate the 70% of 'mericans' that think Saddam was the mastermind of 9/11?

19. Bush on CNN? What was the context?
He was giving some sort of speech, but took questions? That would be weird in itself, wouldn't it?

20. He never takes legitimate questions........ever
Something very strange here. Wouldn't it be great if the American public demanded that their president talk to them in his REAL voice?
