Rumsfeld to Discourage NATO Interference
WASHINGTON - Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, traveling to France this week, will press NATO (news - web sites) countries to reduce political interference in the alliance's operations, an issue that U.S. officials contend has hampered NATO efforts in Kosovo and Iraq (news - web sites).

In some cases, the political leadership of individual NATO countries have ordered their officers and soldiers, assigned to NATO units and headquarters, not to take part in operations carried out by NATO as a whole.

Rumsfeld will make his case to eliminate these "national caveats" on the use of alliance forces at a NATO defense minister's meeting in Nice, a senior U.S. defense official said Monday, discussing the upcoming conference only on the condition of anonymity.
...
It remains unclear whether Rumsfeld will also travel to Germany later in the week for the annual European security conference in Munich.

love how they casually throw in the Germany reference, WITHOUT noting that the reason it's unclear is because rummy's a war criminal.

Allow another Nato country to control the system.

With no interference from the US.

4. I Have A Dream....
a dream that someday soon, we all will march down to D.C. and make a citizens arrest of the whole Cabal. And for World Justice, we give them up to the Hague for War Tribunals.

Bush....? We drop him in the middle of Iraq's most destabilized area after announcing his arrival.

11. Cabal is a great world for them all
Cabal is the name of the cheerleaders who surround the psychopath. What a great way to use that word. For sure - they form a cabal!! Uday Hussein had a cabal too.

8. No, but there's one little issue that has Washington
dripping with sweat. It's Turkey. Turkey's a member of NATO.

Last week, there was a slew of articles about the Kurds wanting to "go it alone". Turkey is furious right now with the US, for causing this explosive situation to become even closer to the brink.

I know what those knotheads are up to. They're trying to avert some kind of action on NATO's part to interfere in Iraq.

Stupid idiots. They are the dictionary definition of 'dysfunctional in the extreme'. Here we are, 3.8% of the world's population, trying to control the other 96%.

10. Doublespeak!
Love the way Rumsfield interferes by tell others not to interfere. I am tired of this doublespeak.

Someone round them up and put them on trial for using propaganda against the American people.

Just don't open the door when this lot comes a calling. Just close the door. They are strangers and bullies.

Welcome to the DU!!!:smoke:  :toast:

And I agree with you: they are strangers and bullies.

Here's what I visualize when they sit in their board rooms, discussing strategy. There's Wolfowitz there, Cheney, RumsFailed, Feith, probably Perle and a few other big hitters. Bush isn't there because they just consider him to be a pesky nuisance. They hand him a beer and tell him to go watch TV.

So they're looking at a big map rolled out on the table. Wolfowitz has a pointer, and he's excitedly discussing where some oil deposits are. He's discussing potential problems. He mentions the people living on top of his oil as ants in an ant colony.

"Well, we'll kill the Sunnis, as many as we can, that is, and then if that doesn't work, we'll drop some mini-nukes up here (he points to the Tikrit area) because the Native are getting Restless. He snickers, and looks at his best friend Perle.

Perle nods slowly. He makes $29,000 in commissions every time they drop a daisy cutter or a bunker buster bomb in Iraq. Perle loves it. The others nod, too. Their little brains stop for a second, and start calculating the profits for their dear friends over at General Electric.

Wolfowitz smiles. He lays down his pointer. "Let's do it" he whispers.

15. And they are so vain about it all
And they are so vain about it all - like neocons invented megalomania.

Here is an article on Disraeli - very interesting because you see that neocons in fact invented nothing. And this article also explains the intensity of the neocon argument that Hitler was a shamed leftist and not a nationalist. I suspected there was some reason why the freepers kepts trying to rework the word fascsist and re-history just who Hitler was and where he stood on the left/right axis.
