BERLIN (AFP) - Britain, France and Germany called for a transfer of power in Iraq "as quickly as possible" and for the United Nations to be given a central role in rebuilding the country.

"We all want to see a stable and democratic Iraq and that the transition to democracy occurs as quickly as possible," British Prime Minister Tony Blair said, after summit talks in Berlin.

German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder said they all agreed on the need for a "more significant" role for the United Nations.

1. Well....
That didn't quite turn out like Chimpy wanted, did it? I guess the Poodle is feeling the heat. He doesn't sound quite like Chimpy's proxy as much as he did a few months ago.

Too late for you, Tony. And too late for your Master.

4. Looks like Blair is ready to declare "victory" and get out
The sooner we do the same, the fewer the dead bodies and the less money down the drain.

Whether we stay and get shot at for ten years or leave now, the new Ayatollah of Iraq is going to be one super charged, pissed off, ultra-anti western dude.

7. Interesting
Day before yesterday I remember when it was just France and Germany, watching CNN, and in the backstory was the phrase "unreasonably short amount of time".

F*cking liberal media!! :eyes:

10. Poodle is still poodle
his definition of ASAP = when ever master says.

He was not willing to agree on any definite timetable, what Chirac and Schröder and everybody else wants.

11. Et Tu Blair? Man, if the Brits are joining in you know its
even worse than we think. What a miserable failure of a mess they have made in Iraq. Soldiers dying every day, soildiers scared shitless of their own shadows shooting at anything that moves including reporters and mucho civilians, the oil definitely not flowing and billions of our tax dollars down the toilet.

Their ill planned, stupid war is one big fat failure, but the problem is, we will sink into the same cesspool with these bastards if we don't get help soon from the UN.

No oil from Iraq, Venezuela pissed big time at us, and rightfully so as these morons add one more turd to their growing pile of shit by trying to assassinate Chavez, so there will be no oil from them, and the Saudis are always a wild card.

Could we all hound our congressman to put the heat on these bastards to comply with the UN on this?

How can so much go so wrong in so little time? These guys must hold the all time worlds record for major fuckups.

12. Depends on what the definition of "fast" is
and to Blair, that's whenever Halliburton and Bechtel say it is.
