Israel scoffs at UN resolution: Israel and US against it
"Israel dismissed a UN resolution demanding it retract threats to remove Yasser Arafat while Palestinians hailed the vote as another sign of support for their leader."

I guess it's all a joke for Israel. Sharon reminds me of Milosevic who used to do the same thing. We all know where he ended up.

Micronesia and the Marshall Islands are other two nations who joined US and Israel. This is kind of funny:)

1. What happened to Tuvalu?
They used to be staunch supporters of Israel. Perhaps they got enough money from licensing their .TV internet appendage that they didn't need money from the U.S. any longer, so now they can vote their conscience. Or maybe they finally broke down and joined the rest of the world in being 'biased against Israel.'

3. The UN is only as good as the nations that support it -
The UN is not Israel or the United State.

Sharon does reminds me of Milosevic

I guess if you don't support apartheid style of politics, war criminals, assasinations of legitimate political (and religious) leaders and you should just shut up, right Jim Sagle?

8. Oh here is a beacon of intelligence
I guess it really galls you that the UN was dead right about its approach to Saddam and your Fuhrer was dead wrong! Israel is a rogue nation and it needs to stop hiding behind the skirts of the US. Of course, now that bush has destroyed our credibility and our economy, Israel HAS to be on its own!

16. Another
erudite commentary from Mr. Sagle. Whenever all the nations on earth vote against the actions of the Israeli government, Mr. Sagle always has an insightful subject line to add to the debate.

6. Israel can do anything it wants
It reminds me of the most obnoxious kid on the playground (Sharon) who is just a punk but happens to have a brother who is the biggest, strongest (and likely dumbest) kid around--America.

Just wait till they assasinate Arafat.

7. Mistake
Assasinating Arafat would be Sharon's (and Israels) biggest political mistake. I hope they realise the possible consequences of such actions. And the responsibility that will lie solely on them...

9. hey the money is still pouring in
from U.S. taxpayers - they even get that big lottery payout of $9 billion this year to help Israel expand their illegal settlements, bulldoze Palestinian homes, and restock the missiles needed to fire into crowds of civilians - so how bad a mistake could Sharon really make? From this standpoint, Sharon has been mistake-free.

11. It is pretty telling, that of the 100 or so nations on this earth now
Israel can only get 3 that support its positions. What does this say? What does this say about the U.S., in that it continues to blindly support Sharon and his fascist Likud?

What it says, is that AIPAC/PNAC/Likud have a tremendous hold on our government, and our foreign policy. This hold must be broken at all costs, because until it is, we are giving an outside nation control of our foreign policy, in violation of the Constitution. And because AIPAC/PNAC/Likud infect both political parties, and our media, the fight to rid our nation of them won't be easy. It is a struggle for the very soul and morals of the nation.

13. Fact is
neither Republicans or Democrats have a shred of moral ground to speak from when they all scramble for a photo finish in the competition to see who can best support the hawkish Likudnik positions.

12. Don't forget those TV Preachers!
Yes, those world class asses Paul and Jan Racoon Face Crouch, Falwell, Robertson and the Dickheads from Daysar are all encouraging Sicko Sharon to kill Arafat.

You know he has to go so Jesus will come back at Armageddon and kill 2/3 of the Jews according to Revelation.

The Psychotic Preachers want to finish what Hitler started and Israel is too dumb to see it!

15. No, Israel is fully aware of it....
The government of Israel is fully aware of the Fundy end times scenerio, they are also fully aware that in these small minds, that Israel can do no wrong, due to the fact that long ago God gave them carte blanche to do what ever thay wanted. If you speak out against the slaughter of innocents by Israel, then surely God shall send you straight to Hell, do not pass go, do not collect $ 200.00 Israel has a permanent waiver when it comes to the 10 commandments.

They are aware of it, and they propagate it. The Christian embassy in Israel, Hosting folks like Falwell and Robertson among other christian fundimentalists. It is also from these groups that Israel receives even more american cash, above and beyond the 9 billion that each one of us taxpayers is sending in our name.

And to pay back their christion supporters and friends, Israel is about to outlaw the propagation of christanity in it's borders.

Christian cash is welcome, christian teachings are not.
