SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane was evacuated Monday morning amid reports of a gunman inside the school.

As hundreds of students milled out the high school building downtown, teacher Mary Myhre said she had heard that a student armed with a handgun was in a classroom and had told the teacher to leave.

"There were kids in there when he told the student teacher to leave," Myhre said.

There were no reports of any hostages or any shots being fired.
