Vote For A Voting System (Texas)
Quite literally you can vote for the new voting system in Central Texas! Go to the link below and find other directional links, including one to Diebold..

More Central Texas voters are going high-tech. Voters in Hays County will get new electronic voting machines soon, and you can help choose what type to buy.

There are three types of voting machines up for consideration.

2. What are the types of machines?
The articles says "There are three types of voting machines up for consideration." but it says nothing about the three types. Nothing about capabilities, features, and not even a brand name. So, how do you vote on something you know nothing about?

Oh, excuse me, this is Texas.

3. I sent feedback.
I sent the hays county commissioners a reasoned feedback argument, and I consider others to do the same. Try to make an argument that is moderate in nature.

4. Refer them to the Salon.com article
plus this story on Avante that gives touch-screen, plus a voter verified paper trail (VVPT). If they are going to go electronic, might as well be someone that gives the VVPT.

5. Please, VVPB -- paper BALLOT
It does absolutely no good to have a paper "trail" if that "trail" can't be used in recounts. Some states, like GA, have laws indicating that the only legal vote is the electronic vote. We need just a little more than that. We need to be able to do recounts with the VVPB.
