NBC/WSJ Poll: Bush rating at lowest ever (49%)
WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 — George W. Bush is in the worst political trouble of his presidency, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Wednesday night. Bush’s approval rating now stands at 49 percent, the lowest point of his tenure. Whether Democrats will be able to exploit Bush’s woes is unknown, since they are four months away from their first primary, but party activists say they are ever more determined to find the candidate who can go toe to toe with Bush in a debate and reduce his standing to political rubble.

17. "...has **already** passed the Democratic record set by Clinton..."
"... , who took in $10.3 million over three months in 1995 for his re-election."

Note that the bat is at 0.9 million, right now.

21. Tell me please
Do you base all your political opinions on fiction shows?

I really want to know...so I can decide to ignore you or not.

How in the hell can someone fake rolling up sleeves?

I've heard good--nay, I've heard great reasons for not voting for Dean--but Dear sir or madam, you've won the award for stupidest reason EVER.

5. why do they say nonsense like this:
WITH ONLY 15 months until the general election, the president and his political strategists have their work cut out for them, especially in assuring skittish voters that his plan to stabilize Iraq will work.

THE PROBLEM IS, HE HAS NO FARKIN' PLAN TO STABILIZE IRAQ, IDIOT JOURNALIST!

19. I think more people
are concerned right now with what's going on right here in U.S.ofA.
Folks are losing their jobs and we need much more attention focused here.We are hurting and falling apart in so many areas and all they talk about is the boogey-man terrorism to keep our attention elsewhere. Quite frankly,I'm wondering what may happen as his * numbers go down. These cretens are not going to let go of this power easily.

32. GOPers don't dare use that photo op
(then again they might be stupid enough to try it)

anywhoooo - using the carrier photo would just remind people how badly things are going....

perhaps the Dems should us it - Whistleass photo with the "mission accomplished" sign in the background, fade out to a series of whistleass statements like " million of jobs to be created by the taxcut".... "...no child left behind unfunded mandate...." then the words Mission accomplished with a big question mark

12. The soft bigotry of low expectations again!
Look at that headline: "Bush rating at lowest ever." I've learned not to misunderestimate the Dim Son. I believe his rating can sink even lower! I still believe in you, George W! You can do it! Show the country that you can drop below 45%. Then below 40%. It'll be tough, but you've never shirked shirking before!

And we're not through with his sorry ass either. We won't stop till he beats the world record set by Nixxon with an approval rating in the mid-20's.

Keep hammering that sorry bastard.

16. I don't see how Chimpy can come back
9/11 was responsible for his big rise in the polls. He doesn't have the force of personality to make someone who dislikes him now to change his mind. He can't speak in public, at least not in English. Ideologically, I don't think he can do anything to turn around the economy. He, Rummy and the missing Dick, have stepped in shit in Eyerack. It can muddle along like this for awhile, losing more troops every week. I would bet that Chimpy's rating are going to go lower, in spite of Tweety, Fat Tim and the rest of the beltway whores.

They probably will have to clip it down to say, 56%, so as to be able to say "President's Job Approval Holds Steady Amid Democrat Party Attacks".

on CNN when they announce these numbers? The "popular wartime president" has just hit a little rough patch. After all, many other presidents have been in the same spot at about this time…
