1. Media spin
The media isn't really covering the accidental deaths and injuries of service personnel overseas. This is dishonest. It's less "glamorized", but car and helocopter crashes and heavy equipment mishaps are no less a risk to life and limb for our armed services than rocket launchers are.

Whenever a GI dies in Iraq, it's a result of Bush's recklessness and greed.

2. From Rhode Island National Guard, 3rd this month...
Edited on Thu Sep-25-03 06:33 AM by semass

Rhode Island National Guard Specialist Michael Andrade, 28, of Warren, was killed in Iraq yesterday when two Army vehicles collided on a dusty road north of Baghdad, the National Guard said last night.

Andrade's death marks the third Rhode Island National Guard casualty in Iraq -- all from the same company.

Two other soldiers from the 115th, Sgt. Charles Todd Caldwell, 38, of Attleboro, and Staff Sgt. Joseph Camara, 40, of New Bedford, were killed on Sept. 1 when the military Humvee they were riding in struck a mine.

Their deaths marked the first time a Rhode Island Army National Guard member had been killed in combat since World War II. The 115th Military Police Company -- a unit of 155 soldiers which during the Vietnam War guarded the military academy at West Point -- has assumed some of the most dangerous duties in postwar Iraq.

saw a lot of this in the Nam

The thing that I always remember today

---is that DEAD IS DEAD

This guy should have died in bed, of old age.

I predict here----- thousands more will die because of the CHIMPANZEE and his insane handlers.

5. I posted this on another thread
but it belongs here.

Our Doc who is in the Navy Reserves was telling my husband yesterday that our military members injuries are not being reported. Said you heard about the "injured" soliders yesterday? Said they didn't tell you that one of those soliders has 8 bullets wounds in him. Also said he has seen the "injured" list and saw one solider who now has no legs and lost an arm.

Of course we are losing him soon. He got his first call up letter the next one will tell him he has to report in 5 days. He doesn't want to go and can live without seeing this awful stuff in Iraq.
However he can't get out of the Reserves either.

If this is the war the Prez claims it is then report it all. Take away our Hollywood Wars and make them the dirty nasty thing that war really is. Maybe we will be able to stop these bloody things the next time.

Thank you, gw since*. 306 american dead and an unknown number wounded, and all new cases of ptsd. Our country's infrastructure and schools falling apart, record bancruptcy, little or no health care, schools cutting to the bare bone, hell just down the road they're cutting two hours a day off in an attempt to save money. No plan, just chaos, thanks a lot fucknutz*.

Accident blamed as 50th UK soldier dies in Iraq
By Terri Judd 26 September 2003

A military investigation has been launched into the death of a British soldier who was shot near Basra.Sergeant John Nightingale, a 32-year-old Territorial Army soldier serving with 217 Transport Squadron at Shaibah, was killed on Tuesday.Yesterday the Ministry of Defence said little except that Sgt Nightingale died in a "tragic firearms incident" unrelated to enemy action and that the Military Police were investigating. Geoff Hoon, the Defence Secretary, said: "This incident is causing much concern in the armed forces because it appears to have been a terrible accident."<snip>

..the 50th British soldier to be killed since the start of the war. <snip>
