1. Was this in Kirkuk?

Because ABC News had been reporting it for hours. I think the media is losing interests in casulties.

Now my spiel: This tragedy is just another example of the failure of this Administration's policy and further reinforces the need to bring the troops home.

4. Yes, it s Kirkuk
The media is under pressure to report "happy" news about Iraq. Remember that the Arab networks were banned by Paul Bremer for broadcasting negative news.

2. "Bring 'em on.........................."
You have to wonder if any of the Bush team even take time to note the passing of more American soldiers. I think they see them only as "resources."

By the way, whatever happened to the "wall of heroes" MSNBC was so proud of pointing out, over and over and over during the "war" part of the war? They were so artificially sorrowful when they first started focusing on the photos and life information of the fallen U.S. G.I.'s. way back then, several months ago.

Mourners gather in Baghdad for slain councilor’s funeral

MSNBC NEWS SERVICES

BAGHDAD, Iraq, Sept. 26 — One soldier from the 173rd Airborne Brigade was killed and two others were wounded during an ambush in northern Iraq, the U.S. military said Friday. The attack came hours before mourners gathered in Baghdad for the funeral of a U.S.-appointed Iraqi leader assassinated by gunmen.

THE INCIDENT occurred about 11 p.m. Thursday when someone fired a rocket-propelled grenade at the soldiers’ vehicle in the oil-producing city of Kirkuk, about 145 miles north of Baghdad. The names of the victims were withheld pending notification of relatives.

The death raised to 86 the number of U.S. soldiers killed by hostile fire since May 1, when President Bush declared an end to major combat in Iraq.

Two hundred Americans have died in combat here since the United States launched military operations here on March 20.

Earlier, a mortar attack on a market in the restive town of Baqouba killed eight civilian Iraqis and wounded 18 others on Thursday, the U.S. military said. Troops of the U.S. 4th Infantry Division rushed to the scene to help. A spokesman said no American personnel were wounded in the attack.

9. I missed someone
Yesterday afternoon I checked lunaville and the count was 306, so somewhere overnight added another dead american, this just sucks so bad.
Can we wait until the 25th. of October to hit the street? If this rate holds up that's another 29 dead americans.
