CBS News: Damage Control In Zoo Deaths
Oooh, man. National Zoo administrators learned a lesson today: DON'T piss off CBS News.

Dan Rather reported today with the lead-in "Trouble at the National Zoo: PR, spin, and the high cost of saving face." Apparently the Zoo had given instructions to its employees to find out what they could about reporters who were investigating:

<snip>
Zoo director Lucy Spelman wanted personal details on the reporters, including whether they have spouses or children, and whether they are members on any boards. It advises zoo employees to do the research through normal means and "anything else creative you can think of."

MORE

How dumb can they be?? Go get 'em Danno.

And a final note: Reporter Sharyl Attkisson is a babe.
