Two more US soldiers killed in Iraq
http://www.paktribune.com/news/index.php?id=39511

BAGHDAD, September 27 (Online): One soldier from the 173rd Airborne Brigade was killed and two others were wounded during an ambush in northern Iraq, the US military said on Friday.

The incident occurred about 11 pm on Thursday when someone fired a rocket-propelled grenade at their vehicle in Kirkuk. The names of the victims were withheld pending notification of kin.

Also, the military announced that a soldier from the 4th Infantry Division died and another was injured in a fire Thursday night in an abandoned building in the Tikrit area. No further details were announced. It was not known whether the fire, which broke out about 1515 GMT, was caused by hostile action.

3. My 'adopted' soldier belongs to the 173rd
SoCalDem posted that some of these guys weren't getting packages from home. I don't know this soldier but, I worry about him everyday. Where do they post the names of soldiers who've been killed or injured?

They had these covered yesterday. I look in the morning and again before I shut down. They are the most accurate source I believe.

You're right, it's far more complete, all right.

Should be worth sharing with anyone concerned about the war, absolutely!

And like you I too think of these guys every day. Now I'll be anxious to find out the name of the soldier.

And whomever it is, I'm angry these guys and gals are there in the first place and the idiot in the WH isn't polling at 0% with the American people for this.

13. reporting soldier deaths
is biased reporting? Lordy. As far as "things are better", how much better could they be to override the horrific daily deaths of young soldiers?

It tears at my soul hearing these reports.

How can Republican politicians(and some Democrats) justify a war that has killed so many of our young men and women? I don't think that any president should have the right to send troops into war unless our self-defense is threatened. That includes Liberia, too. One dead soldier is one too many.

19. The 4ID captain's death was initially reported as a fire in a building
Or, it was unreported.

The news was that a 4ID soldier had died while in an abandoned building that caught fire. Not that it had been an IED. Was there an additional fire death?
