Teheran defends right to N-power
It insists its nuclear technology is for peaceful purposes in response to statements by Bush and Putin

TEHERAN - Iran will not compromise on its right to have nuclear technology or to conduct uranium enrichment, the Foreign Ministry said yesterday, shrugging off mounting international pressure over its atomic programme.

'Renouncing peaceful nuclear technology or enrichment is not something that Iran will accept a compromise on,' Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi told reporters in response to weekend statements on Iran by US President George W. Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

'We are not developing weapons of mass destruction. Our activities are transparent,' Mr Asefi asserted.

Mr Bush and Mr Putin discussed Iran on Saturday during talks at the US presidential retreat of Camp David.

The Irony here and what our Newspapers here have not picked up on is that the Nuclear Power Plant to be blown up is Bush..ehr and was helped made by Bush!

Israel is got a Big Bullseye on it! :bounce:
