Vermont Gov Jim Douglas won't run for Jeffords' Senate seat |
http://www.vermontguardian.com/local/0105/DouglasAnnouncement.shtmlHe's the only Republican candidate that stood a chance of beating Bernie Sanders. Hopefully, this one is in the bag...

1. I can't see why any repub could win anywhere(except in the south)... |
If the voters, vote repub, then they must like the state of things in this country. No medical, un-winnable war, no jobs and the Christian taliban taking over...then this country is very, very sick and we will have to live with it.

3. Yet Oregon has a conservative Republican senator.....Maine has TWO |
Rethugs, NH has 2 Rethugs, Pennsylvania has two, RI has one, Ohio has two, and Minnesota has one. When willthese people realize that when they vote for Olympia Snowe or Gordon Smith, they're also supporting Frist, Lott, Sanctorum and McConnell?

4. it's up to us to get the word out |
I talk to my neighbors all of the time on Gordon Smith's voting record and I get "oh really????!!" They do not watch the voting record or pay any attention and in Oregon at least the local press is dismal in covering what the reps are doing.
