Zogby: Bush Job Approval Hovers At 46%
6/2

Bush Job Approval Hovers at 46%; Job Rating Even Lower Among Catholics, Independents; Red States Still Warm to President, Blues Chilly; Half (50%) of Americans Say Nation on Wrong Track, New Zogby Poll Reveals.

President George W. Bush's approval rating rating continues to hover at an "anemic" 46% - all at a time when his Capitol Hill initiatives are stalled or being defeated by opponents, according to a new poll released by Zogby International.

5/25 Positive 46% (Excellent 18%, Good 28%)
Negative 53% (Fair 23%, Poor 30%)

http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=996

Pollster John Zogby: "In a bad week for the President - a near defeat on stem cells, a Senate compromise on his judicial nominees - his numbers are anemic, and not where a second-termer needs to be at this point in his presidency.... If his job approval was better than 46% we wouldn't be seeing so many Republicans defecting from his agenda in the House and Senate. The fact is, they need to go home and say they are getting things done, which trumps loyalty to a 46% president."

35. No, it's probably at that level. You wouldn't believe how many blind
idiots there are in this country. Ask a few random people if they know about the recent meeting minutes that proved GW started the war a year before he told us. Then ask them if Newsweek caused a bunch of riots. It's really sad.

59. Zogby is not skewed towards Bush. During the last election...
none of his polls were found to be padded towards Bush. I was following the whole thing. The worst offender was Gallup. Zogby was among the few that was accurate, and that showed Bush's consistant weakness and the mistrust people held towards him.

16. 46% for a LIAR KING?
Unbelieveable.

Well, one person I spoke with said they liked "a man of action".
Others are so ignorant, they don't want anyone like Kerry who might shake things up. They're too busy cutting down trees or mining mountainsides to be thinking about change.

The media plays a major hand in this. I mean, if we had a media, this creep wouldn't have been able to steal the election in 2000. And the Downing Street Memo would be plastered over every television screen in the country. Half the country is made of people who don't know, and don't care to know. Too much effort. The rest are dragged down by them. It's a shame. But it's the same story throughout mankind's past.

Still haven't figured out the old people driving one though, has to be something relating to insurance companies & who knows what else! I'm tempted to just tell them I want to know WHO the polls are for before taking any more of them. With the weird harold kind of questions they have, who knows how it's being massaged to fit the clients 'needs'!

They stooped polling me after the election. I read on their site that 55% of Americans they polled FAVOR Bush's privatization of Social Security. I don't trust them anymore. I don't favor it, my 20 something daughters don't, and now they don't poll any of us anymore.

Just seem to me they are polling now by a predetermined demographics to achieve the results they want.

Some decided before the election. The somewhat less intelligent decided after.

The only people who support the man at this point are the brain dead mass ideology believers. The rural fundamentalist types you can see regularly on a John Hagee I hate Muslims and Humanists TV group jerk off. The same kind of people who supported Hitler and Stalin through thick and thin. They don't know any other way.

That's pretty low in a section of the country that will tend to give any conservative leader the benefit of the doubt. Once its below 50%, once they can't get a majority of Gomers to support Little Boots, that's when this presidency will be in crisis.

They know they don't approve personally, but for the sake of show, they say they approve.

There are also many idiots out there who will say they approve of him because they think a low rating will "hurt his feelings." They don't grasp that he really doesn't give a rat's patooie what anyone thinks of him.
