Judge passes off decision on Limbaugh medical records

By JILL BARTON
Associated Press Writer

Rush Limbaugh successfully kept his medical records sealed to prosecutors investigating whether he illegally purchased painkillers - at least for a few more days.

Circuit Judge Jeffrey A. Winikoff decided Thursday to transfer the sealed records to another judge, who will decide how prosecutors will review them. Limbaugh has lost repeated court battles to keep the records sealed but his appeals have successfully stalled the investigation for more than 18 months.

It was not clear Thursday when the second judge might issue a ruling.

1. I wish Limbaugh would quit it already with his frivolous appeals.
Let's move it along, Rush. Stop logjamming the system. Do you believe in American law and order, or don't you?

4. Oh, no! He should take his appeal
to Tom DeLay and get a special bill passed to seal his record

forever and ever.

Bush will hurry back from whereever to sign the bill in to law.

3. I read the article - I didn't see WHY he passed off the decision.
wouldn't there have to be a reason?

5. Limbaugh has to be putting First Class pressure (read blackmail)...
on his "protectors" to, in turn, blackmail any judge into finding in his behalf.

Perhaps the best they could get from this judge was a move to a more friendly judge.

Let's put it this way, Columbian judges who were ruling on the Escobar cocaine cartel were probably under less pressure.
