Allawi mulls running again in Iraq
The former Baathist party member and interim leader of Iraq Iyad Allawi reportedly is considering a political comeback.

Allawi was installed last year by the United States and Britain as Iraq's interim prime minister but was soundly defeated in January's elections. Now, however, there is already nostalgia for his tenure as insurgents and suicide bombers disrupt daily life in Baghdad, The Telegraph reported Monday.

Since January, Allawi, a Shiite, has been involved in negotiations to create the new multi-ethnic secular alliance before new general elections scheduled for December. He also has support amid the once-dominant Sunni Muslims.

In the last election I voted for Allawi twice, said a Sunni insurgent sympathizer from Fallujah. At the next election I will vote for him 10 or 11 times.

1. Ruthless former-terrorist car-bomber Allawi. Another dictator for Iraq.
But then, so is current Iraq President Talabani.

4. If he quadruples his vote, he still gets 20%
Iraqis don't much like him.
