Possible Breakthrough In Contract Talks (Columbus Public Schools)

Amid all the talk of a strike, teachers from Columbus Public Schools were supposed to rally Tuesday at district headquarters, but the rally has been postponed in light of news of a possible contract.

Sources within the Columbus Public Schools system and the union tell 10TV that there is a potential deal in the works.

For the past two weeks, teachers have been doing what's called "working to the rule." That means they're only doing what they are required do by their contract.

According to the newsletter on the union web site, the efforts have been paying off. The union president calls the effort solid. <snip>
