Work on gas pipeline to start next year, confirms Jadoon (Pakistan)

Well! This is going to get someone's panties in a twist.

ISLAMABAD June 08 Federal Minister for Petroleum Amanullah Khan Jadoon has confirmed that laying of gas pipeline from Iran to India through Pakistan would start next year. However, he said the final decision would be taken in the Indo-Pak experts meeting.

In an interview with the BBC, the Minister said that both the countries had also set up a joint working group.

Jadoon endorsed the statement of the Indian petroleum Minister Manishanker Aiyer that both India and Pakistan have decided to construct the proposed gas pipeline.

The Indian Petroleum Minister in his recent visit to Pakistan discussed Iran-Pakistan- India gas pipeline project with the Pakistani leadership.
