(Kentucky) Transportation Cabinet officials indicted in firing |
|
http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/11892364.htmA special Franklin County grand jury indicted three Transportation Cabinet officials today for misconduct in the firing of a worker.
The jury indicted acting Secretary Bill Nighbert, Deputy Secretary Jim Adams, and Dan Druen, commissioner of the division of administrative services.
Each man was indicted on three counts: official misconduct, political discrimination and criminal conspiracy.
The grand jury is investigating whether abuses occurred in the hiring practices of Gov. Ernie Fletcher’s administration. For some background, check out these threads in the Kentucky forum: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=154x567http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=154x559http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=154x549http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=154x547http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=154x546http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=154x545BTW, it was our beloved Gov. Fletcher that set off alarms during the RNC when his plane ventured into protected airspace in D.C.

1. Doesn't it seem that scandals are popping up all over America |
|
in state repug administrations? Hell, a national map would look like a bad case of chicken pox! This is so sad and couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch.
I know Ohio has the Coingate, Texas has well every kind of scandal possible. California rep sold his house to a PAC person for about half a million over market value and then the guy re-sold it and lost half a million (will have to get name) and some people are hinting that this is a payoff for a bunch of government contracts.
Anybody else know of any state repug scandals that are hitting the news? I would like to see a graphic that would help us keep track! Wouldn't want to miss a one.

2. Naw, isolated incidents all |
|
See, when two Democrats run into a spot of trouble, no matter how far apart or how dissimilar the conduct, it's evidence of the total corruption of all Democrats everywhere.
But the Ohio, Kentucky, California, Texas, Florida and all the rest are just isolated incidents of startlingly similar corruption that have nothing to do with each other, and certainly should never be connected in any way.
