Bush Says Congress Must Quit `Bickering' Over Social Security
June 14 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush called for an end to ``partisan bickering'' over Social Security as he extended his months-long campaign to overhaul the federal retirement insurance system into Pennsylvania.

The president also used the trip to raise money for one of his staunchest allies on the issue in Congress, Republican Senator Rick Santorum, who is up for re-election next year. A recent statewide poll shows he may face a tough race.

In the 36th event of a nationwide campaign on behalf of his Social Security proposals, Bush told a Future Farmers of America convention in University Park, Pennsylvania, that Congress must act to prevent Social Security's insolvency and to give younger workers a chance to use their payroll taxes to fund personal accounts invested in stocks and bonds.

``The easy path is to do nothing,'' Bush said. ``The tougher path is to come together and get something done.''

But really one of the jurors yesterday said the reason she didn't vote guilty was because she didn't like the way the mother snapped her fingers, wagged her fingers and pointed.

I'm just saying, it's the same thing. We don't like being treated like naughty children.

How long has he been out there now? 6 months? Either he really cant take living in DC anymore (probably too many "minorities" around), or Rove thinks hes better out in the field as a roaming cash machine. Gotta bleed that 39% of their money before the 2006 elections!

accounts as an infusion of temporary money into the stock market so highly placed investment analysts can divest rich people from 'old corporations' and reinvest in the new ones. Let the little people hold the bag and invest with lesser knowledge. Put off that 'correction' for another few years.. we know how important it is that the next President has to live through the economic correction that should have taken place in 2002/2003.

And then the kids will pay for the huge deficit.

Terribly important that the rich in the USA become an Uber-elite (I say encased in amber-elites) and have the power then to skew the markets of the world in their favor.

Here is a choice? Why not take your bullies and go after countries that have lax tax laws so that capital flight isn't used as a tool to bully democracies. You remember democracies don't you? You invented to notion!
