Two US soldiers killed in Baghdad shootout

Two US Army soldiers were killed and one was wounded during a small arms skirmish with insurgents while transporting a detainee north of Baghdad, the military said today.

A civilian and the detainee were also killed in the incident late last night near Buhriz, a former stronghold of ousted dictator Saddam Hussein about 35 miles north of Baghdad. Five Iraqi police were wounded, the military said.

Iraqi soldiers detained two suspects, the military said. The names of the two dead Americans, who belonged to Task Force Liberty in north-central Iraq, were withheld pending notification of their families.

Families of those killed on 9/11 should be outraged that this administration is tramping on the graves of their dead family members to conduct this illegal invasion and occupation in the name of 9/11 when, in fact, Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 or al-Qaeda. The people need to know that the Kurdish group we supported in Iraq was linked to al-Qaeda and that Saddam took the rap for their presence in Kurdish territoy and that the Bush administration officials know this to be the truth but are liars and now murderers.
