Prosecutors rest in Killen trial

PHILADELPHIA, Miss. Prosecutors have wrapped up their case against a one-time Ku Klux Klan leader in the 1964 deaths of three civil rights workers.
Edgar Ray Killen faces life in prison if he is convicted in the killings of Andrew Goodman, Michael Schwerner and James Chaney. They were helping to register black voters in Mississippi.

The only witness to be called by prosecutors today is Chaney's mother, who said that her son went to join the other two in delivering books and "never came back."

Killen's defense attorney says he has not decided whether to put his client on the stand.
