Khamenei: U.S. policies will be defeated
TEHRAN, Iran (UPI) -- Iran`s spiritual guide, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, told visiting Lebanese parliament Speaker Nabih Berri U.S. policies will be defeated.

Iran`s non-official Maher news agency Monday quoted Khamanei as saying U.S. pressures on Lebanon and Syria are aimed at serving the interests of Israel.

"The Americans are seeking to eliminate the popular and Islamic resistance in Lebanon, but U.S. policies against Lebanon and Syria will eventually be defeated," Khamenei said.
