Democrats playing politics with Bolton - White House
So pathetic :eyes:

http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=8850945

The White House on Tuesday accused Senate Democrats of playing politics by blocking for a second time the confirmation of John Bolton as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
White House spokesman Scott McClellan said President Bush still wanted an up-or-down Senate vote for Bolton and would not say whether Bush planned to bypass Senate procedure and appoint Bolton when Congress recesses.

Senate Democrats on Monday blocked Bolton's nomination when Republican leaders fell six votes short of the 60 votes needed to end a procedural hurdle known as a filibuster and advance the nomination to a confirmation vote.

"We continue to urge the Senate to give him an up-or-down vote. John Bolton enjoys majority support, that is clear. And the Democratic leadership is simply blocking progress and blocking reform at the United Nations by their tactics. This is clearly (the) Democratic leadership playing politics with this nomination," McClellan said.

2. And the Republicans are not PLAYING politics
 Good ol' MSM
The Republicans will not disclose vital information on the nominee and they have the gall to say that democrats are playing politics. I guess when they say it to the MSM they know it will be spread as so... true or not.

29. Jesse Helms and William Weld--No, We Haven't Forgotten
We progressives remember when the Republicans were "playing politics" with ambassadorial appointments throughout the Clinton years. Doubtlessly, the Republicans and their toadies in the MSM as well as in the right-wing propaganda organs would like to forget such egregious examples as Republican Jesse Helms and the Clinton Administration's nominee William Weld, but we haven't forgotten, no we haven't...

What goes around eventually comes around, and I think that John Bolton highly deserves what he's getting. I hope that the Democrats in the Senate continue to oppose Bolton.

4. Wait a minute
The Democrats do their jobs 'advising & consenting' on a UN Nominee and its called playing politics.

The Republicans draft a bill for the benefit of one woman in a irreversible coma and shut down the senate to debate the only 10 judges out of over 200 nominated but not passed. That's not playing politics? The only bills passed by Congress so far have benefitted their big money constituents, (bankruptcy, tort reform, etc) not issues effecting americans like health care, jobs, & national security.

6. A recess appointment will backfire on the cabal.
The world will know that PNAC and the cabal have declared war on the world.

This is a list of the entities and issues standing in the way of a world takeover by PNAC and the cabal -

Congress
United Nations
Courts
Constitution and BoR
Real Votes
Real News
Right to speak
Right to privacy
Access to Records

It is very obviouse that they are working on destroying all who hold them back.

The make fun of juries, they kill judges in more ways than mortal, they have been out to destroy the UN, they go-around Congress and operate a secret sub-government, they are working on taking our rights and getting their cameras in the bedrooms and libraries, they have secreted public records, there are those devoted to changing the Constitution and Bil of Rights, they believe in vigilantes and their own justice system, they break all the accords and treaties, they do it every which way they can.

Bolton is their special bomb for the UN.

The world will know.

They can't fight the world if the world knows. They can be stopped if the world knows. Examine the lies, thefts, and abuses. Know that they want to accomplish this with dis-reality and it is working within the US on several million people, but it's not working on many more millions of informed and concerned citizens and international leaders and citizens.

17. Pot, Meet Kettle...
The WHITE HOUSE is playing politics with Bolton. The only reason bu$hit wants him in there is as quid pro quo for firing the Brazilian who wanted chemical weapons inspections in Iraq (a negative result would have ruined bu$hit's excuse to invade) and who possibly outed Valerie Plame. Not to mention all the other crap the evil bastard has done.

EXCUUUSE ME? WHO is playing politics?

18. Bush doesn't want an up or down vote!!!
He just wants to get whatever he wants when he wants it! If he truly wanted and up or down vote, he'd give the information requested to the Committee. As to the "...Bolton enjoys majority support, that is clear" statement: that should be a capital "M".

and trying to protect US interests in the UN arena and in other capacities internationally.

WHY SHOULD THE DEMOCRATS PERMIT THE APPOINTMENT OF A MEAN SPIRITED, POTENTIALLY UNETHICAL BUREAUCRAT WHO IS NOT CAPABLE OF NEGOTIATION AND DISCUSSION? IF THE WH WOULD TURN OVER THE NEEDED PAPERS, PERHAPS WE WOULD LEARN ABOUT BOLTON LAUNCHING ATTACKS AGAINST OTHER INTELLIGENCE PERSONNEL WHO WOULD NOT FIX INTELLIGENCE REPORTS TO FAVOR SHRUB'S ATTACK ON IRAQ. COULD THIS BE THE REASON THAT SHRUB IS NOT PERMITTING A FULL VIEW OF BOLTON'S M.O.s? OR IS PERHAPS EVEN MORE?

The Dems need to convey to America in a simple way as to why they are resisting to approve Bolton-- to make America understand the breadth and depth of the Bush WH's deception for control.
