BOSTON Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean, responding to criticism from the vice president, said he doesn't "care if Dick Cheney likes my mother or not."

The vice president said in a recent interview that Dean was not the type of person to lead a political party and mentioned the chairman's mother.

"I've never been able to understand his appeal. Maybe his mother loved him, but I've never met anybody who does. He's never won anything, as best I can tell," Cheney said in an interview on Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes."

Dean, in Boston on Monday for a fundraiser, told fellow Democrats that Republicans want a smaller government, but "their government is just big enough to fit inside Terri Schiavo's bed in the nursing home. We can do better than that."

Earlier this year, Dean, a physician, accused congressional Republicans of grandstanding in trying to keep the brain-damaged woman alive and said Democrats will use that against them in coming elections.

Why does he have it? In his high school picture, he smiles out of both sides of his mouth and there is no evidence that he can't operate one side.

Cheney's comment about "nobody else" loving Dean but his mother was not directed at Mama Dean, but rather at MRS - as in Dr. Mrs. Dean.

As you know, Republicans hate two things more that gays or black people and those are:
1. Strong, independent women
2. Professional women.

Cheney's message was a communique to the base that Mrs. Dean is, like Hillary Clinton, a lesbian who only married a man to gain access to political power and, once she has it, will relentlessly pursue an agenda to turn all children into satanist-practicing, man-hating homer-sexuals.

The reason why is that when people lie repeatedly, I believe that the best response is not to reflect their immaturity, but to say, in effect, "You're lying. Here's what the truth is." Cheney says Dean has never won anything? That's a lie. The truth is that he was elected the chief executive of the state of Vermont repeatedly.

How much harm do you think Dean has caused the democrats by his remarks? Most democrats and MANY republicans loathe Cheney. Republicans just don't know what to do with Dean so they are going to try their hardest to slander his character.

I don't think Dean should have addressed Cheney's ridiculous insults, that sends a message that Cheney is to be taken seriously. Cheney is a lying fool and should be mocked on a regular basis by the entire world. Dean basically held is hand up and told Cheney to crawl back in his hole and to STFU.
