Group to Launch Supreme Court Ad Campaign
Group to Launch Supreme Court Ad Campaign

WASHINGTON -- Anticipating a Supreme Court confirmation battle this summer, a conservative group was to begin airing television commercials Wednesday that feature two of the Republicans' most prominent critics and charge that Democrats "will attack anyone the president nominates" to a vacancy.

"A nominee deserves real consideration, instead of instant attacks," says the ad, which Progress for America has set to run on cable television nationally through July 1.

The commercial opens with a picture of Howard Dean, the Democratic Party chairman, while an announcer recalls his recent claim that many Republicans "never made an honest living in their lives."

Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada is shown next, along with a reminder that he has recently called Bush both a "loser" and a "liar" in recent appearances.

2. Reid's sorriest moment was apologizing for his honest statement.
The Simian Imbecile IS a loser, a liar, a coward and a thief.
And Dean is right as well.
NOBODY needs to apologize for being truthful! Reid should apologize for having apologized.
Man, when are some of these people gonna grow a pair????

4. it depends on who Bush nominates
the ad is probably right, the dems will resist Bush's nominee because Bush will pick the most divisive person he can find.
