Ted Nugent Ordered to Pay Child Suppport ("Father of the Year")
June 23, 2005 5:36 a.m. EST
Douglas Maher - All Headline News Staff Reporter

DOVER, NH (AHN) - Rocker/hunter, Ted Nugent, is ordered to pay child support to a woman he had a brief affair with in 1995.

Nugent will pay $3,500.00 a month to Karen Gutowski, who is the mother of the now 10-year old boy.

According to the Foster's Daily Democrat Newspaper in New Hampshire, Nugent was originally served with papers regarding the lawsuit while playing a show with ZZ Top, at the Meadowbrook Amphitheater.
...
Oddly enough, on Nugent's own website, it states the guitarist was named "Father of The Year". He has been married to his wife, Shemane, since 1989. They have four children together.

21. loads of money will do that
here the kids get selected as citizen of the month if their parents are highly involved - in the way the school likes - or wealthy. They occasionally throw a kid in the mix that really deserves it but the whole process is so tainted it is a joke.

Even if the parent has loads of money and has never given a cent their kid is likely to get the 'honor' in hopes that will loosen up the wallet.

Do they know he's a pedophile? He adopted an underage 16 year old girl just so the law wouldn't hassle him about his relationship with her

6. Yes

The “warrior” himself didn’t bathe for like 2 months and simply defecated in his pants for like a solid week before showing up upon getting drafted.

Of course, Nugent talks a good game and said he’d have probably shot any hippies that were in the fox holes with him. Well too bad Nuge never “got his chance because he was such a hypocritical pussy. He’s a tough man when he’s shooting bullets at victims that don’t shoot back.

He's been married since '89,but he had an affair in '95,gets the woman pregnant but then doesn't offer to pay child support. Now,10 years later he's ORDERED to pay for his kid.I'll bet he's never seen his kid, either. "family values" my ass. I'm sick to death of these repukeliKKKan hypocrites. :puke:

15. As much as I hate to defend this scum
We have no idea if he ever even knew this kid existed before the papers were filed.

Yes, he was hypocritical, etc., but we don't know if he was a "deadbeat dad" as another poster put it.

That said, what sort of woman would sleep would something like this piece of filth, anyway?

16. Based on the fact that he was served papers to force him to pay...
...child support, there is a very good chance that Nugent has known for quite some time that the 10-yr-old was his child. Papers like that aren't served without a fair amount of documentation to back them up.

And yes, IMHO, he is a "deadbeat dad" for having failed to live up to his responsibility for helping bring another human being into this world.

18. Yes, they are
I've known people who were served with papers for kids they didn't know existed, years after the kid was born. And I've seen those fathers ordered to pay multiple years' worth of back child support for kids they hadn't known existed.

The story we saw was pathetic. It didn't include any pertinent information. Apparently, no back child support was ordered, which would be unusual.

As for "failing to live up to his responsibility...", what if he didn't know the child existed? A lot of assumptions here. Could he honestly be expected to pay child support for a child he didn't know about?

Again, I think this guy is scum, but some of these accusations are unfounded at present. If we find out different, I'll be happy to pile on, though.

And something about the term "deadbeat dad" just pisses me off no end, since both men and women fail to pay child support. (Women at a much higher rate, btw.)

34. Oh please
He knew. No woman gets pregnant by a famous used to be rock star with money and keeps it to herself for nearly ten years, then out of the blue files for child support. They had to have the requisite DNA paternity test before any support was ordered, so my opinion is that he has known for some time.

14. NRA gunwacko posterchild
Nugent at one point during his convention speech screamed:

"Remember the Alamo! Shoot 'em! To show you how radical I am, I want carjackers dead. I want rapists dead. I want burglars dead. I want child molestors dead. I want the bad guys dead. No court case. No parole. No early release. I want 'em dead. Get a gun, and when they attack you, shoot 'em."

So the self proclaimed party of "life" aligns themselves with the NRA, and Tom Delay and Ted Nugent criss cross the country advocating violence against those who "attack you," including "activist judges." Wow, that is quite the culture of life that conservatives love to promote. So that is moral values? You have to wonder what their children are learning.

Even more disgusting was when Nugent ran out on stage in Houston with two giant assault rifles in each of his hands. I'm sure the families of deceased policemen, and women, by the hands of assault weapons on the streets of America appreciated Nugents promotion of such unnecessary weaponry now easily available to street criminals, gangs, and even terrorists. After all, conservatives pandered to the NRA by allowing the assualt weapons ban to expire, instead of thinking about national security. I could only imagine what will happen to that vicious deer that gets in Nugents way. As General Wesley Clark says, "if you want an assault weapon we have a uniform and two shiny pairs of boots for you in the United States Army." But then again, you don't expect a party full of draft dodgers, and chickenhawks to defend America, right? No, we need them patrolling the front lines of our nations forests shooting animals with assault weapons. Nugent is more armed then our own soldiers in Iraq it would appear. That is an atrocity!

19. I haven't seen "Daughters of Rockers" MTV
But some posters have said Nugent confesses to having had sex with underage girls on numerous occasions. The claims probably aren't legally actionable - I imagine they would fall into the category of bluster unless one of the women in question came forth. Still, it adds to the general aura of Republican family values hypocrisy.

42. I don't think Nugent buys into all the Repug, Xtian morality
Edited on Thu Jun-23-05 01:43 PM by Strawman
He likes to protray himself as some wildman on the prowl for animal and sexual prey, not some upstanding citizen. I saw a bit of that "Daughters of Rockers" show and his answer to all the charges (from his own daughters sitting beside him) of inappropriate sex with underage girls stuff was "Hey, I'm a breeder." It's odd how much he makes a public spectacle of his love of fucking and killing and his general manliness. What's he trying to hide?

I don't think Republicanism is about Xtian values to most male Republicans. It's about fear of the feminine. To the extent that Xtian values put them in charge they're great, but they're quickly jettissoned for seemingly conflicting pursuits that better reaffirm their manhood. Nuge is their archetype who lives out their fantasies and it's a very lucrative job for him.

Other reports show how children who have had little or no meaningful touch with mom and or dad, are much more likely to lead a life of crime, substance abuse, unfulfilled sadness, and usually a horrible, tragic early earth. To know the remedy for this tragedy, yet fail to respond, is the worse sin of mankind.
