Yahoo! Shuts Chat Rooms After Sex Allegations

The Yahoo! website portal has discontinued user-created chat rooms after a news report in Houston revealed that some of the chat rooms were being used to lure minors into having sex with adults.

A Houston TV station reported that advertisers such as Pepsi had canceled advertising on Yahoo! after the accusations came to light.

Yahoo! has not yet made a statement on the shutting down of the chat rooms, but Yahoo!-created chat rooms are still up and running on the website.
