Brzezinski rips Bush Iraq War policy
Jun 25, 2005, 17:03 GMT

WASHINGTON, DC, United States (UPI) -- Carter administration national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski charged the Iraq War was being "conducted with tactical and strategic incompetence."

Brzezinski, in a harshly worded radio address aired Saturday, called for President Bush to outline what needs to be accomplished before U.S. troops can leave Iraq.

"Our nation also deserves an honest explanation for how we ended up in Iraq. And we deserve a realistic definition of success for a war that increasingly threatens to become a quagmire," Brzezinski said.

With opinion polls showing dropping U.S. public support for the war, Democrats -- and some Republicans -- have become more vocal in saying an exit strategy should be discussed.

:rofl::rofl:

I agree, Zbig's an asshole. He's just worried that the whole imperial project could get discredited.

3. I love when
imperialists argue over how to do things. It's like guys on CNBC bitching about China trying to buy up Unocal. Isn't that American brand capitalism?

What a freak show.

7. Empty rhetoric by Brzezinski
He knows damn well that Bush can't outine what needs to be accomplished in Iraq or anywhere else. Hot air as usual.

8. It's cover your ass time for the war mongers
Now that the conventional wisdom is that the Iraq war is a painful failure, all the policy poobahs that supported it want to dissociate themselves from it.

Yet, the posturing is only that. The object of the war was classic brzezinski, divide and conquer. Creating failed states, with warring factions, that are readily manipulated is what this man is all about. It's the Balkanization of Mesopotamia. It defies belief that the Balkanization outcome would not be readily apparent to this master manipulator.
