Baghdad, Iraq (AHN) – On Sunday, Deputy Police Chief, Col. Riyadh Abdulkrim, was assassinated as gunmen opened fire on Abdulkrim's vehicle, as he was driving to work in Baghdad.

U.S. military officials are confirming that a wave of attacks have left 15 police officers, and 18 civilians dead in Mosul, on Sunday.

One attack on Mosul's Jamahoori Hospital killed five police officers, while a strike at the Kasak army post left sixteen civilian laborers dead.

In yet another attack, a bomb reportedly hidden under "a pile of watermelons in a truck," exploded at the al-Toob police station in Mosul, killing 10 police officers and two civilians,

But, "we're winning".

BTW, anyone seen the news of Houston suffering 33 dead and its deputy police chief assassinated?

Me either.

1. I saw a headline last night that said 41 killed in Mosul.
Don't remember where, but it doesn't matter. All we really need to know is that hundreds of Iraqi people are dying weekly and dozens of US soldiers are dying every week.

Yet the CRIMINALS WHO HIJACKED OUR COUNTRY tell us "we're winning."

Wake up America! Nap time is over!

3. This is what happens when you invade another peoples' land
and try to take it from them. How long did the our gunned and out manned Native Americans fight the white invaders? We may even win in the end but it will much too costly and those who are responsible will not have paid anything but will have reaped all the wealth for themselves.

5. GREAT line... why the heck can't the newsmedia throw that one at Delay?
I have always admired reporters who go after the story.
I fervently hope someone to admire crops up soon.
My list of writing heroes is dwindling: Krugman, Kristoff, Corn.... "
Oh my.

Wouldn't it be GREAT if just one of them used your line about Houston, after that assine load of bull Delay spouted?

Thanks for making my day.

6. Because the media is far beyond feckless. They're complicit.
