Cheney camp denies heart-trouble reports

Reports on political commentator Arianna Huffington's Web log that Vice President Dick Cheney had heart trouble while in Vail last week are not true, the vice president's spokeswoman said Monday.

Cheney had a scheduled appointment Friday to see Dr. Richard Steadman to treat an old high school football injury to his knee, said his spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride.

Cheney was in Vail last weekend attending a closed meeting held by the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank.

Huffington, who was also in Vail last week, has cited unnamed sources as reporting that Cheney used an alias to check into the Vail Valley Medical Center for an angina attack.

If they want to squelch the rumors, have him appear before a camera. No one has actually seen the scumbag in days.

3. Prelude to him resigning
so the Thugs will have an incumbent to run in '08. (Yes, Criswell predicts.) Question is: who will replace him as VP?

12. Can * appoint Jeb as VP? That would be really, really bad.
Might it be Kindofsleazy Rice or Rummy?
What is the procedure? Didn't Nixon personally choose and appoint Ford after Spiro Agnew resigned?
:scared:

22. They'd want somebody who could win
There isn't anyone in this misadministration who could do that. Jebbie has acquired considerable baggage since the shiavo fiasco, so they'll have to bring someone from the outside.

24. I think they'd appoint McCain.
McCain has too much chance to win on his own in 2008. By making him VP, they can lock him in to their camp before then. He's already shown he has no honor, so he will do what they say. If he misbehaves, they can cut him up before 2008, and run someone else.

Plus, he makes Bush look more legite. Condi is too weak a public speaker. Besides, i don't think we've ever had a husband and wife team as PRes/VP before.

Just my guess.

20. Where is Cheney?
He was supposed to have had another one of those secret closed meetings the other day with al-Jaafari. But there were no pictures of him anywhere. The only one you I can find shows not Cheney, but a car.

A limousine from Iraq's Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari's motorcade flies the Iraqi and U.S. flags as it is parked outside the West Wing of the White House shortly after al-Jaafari arrived for closed meetings with National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley and Vice President Dick Cheney Thursday, June 23, 2005 in Washington. Iraq's prime minister reviewed strategy with President Bush's top advisers Thursday amid growing pressure on the White House to bring troops home from a war that has cost the lives of more than 1,700 U.S. troops. He will meet with Bush on Friday. (AP Photo/Charles Dharapak)

23. I lived in the Mountains and had friends get nosebleeds the first day
they arrived from low altitude, also, dizziness, shortest of breath, vomiting and other altitude sickness in the Colorado mountains and also even in Denver which is a mile high.

My grandmother had problems and needed oxygen as an extra help.
