Lansing education rally attracts 11,000 teachers, parents, students
<snip> The education rally was organized by the K-16 Coalition and had a reported 11,000 people marching to the Capitol building.

The coalition consists of statewide education groups working together to get full funding for public schools, community colleges and universities.

The House recently stepped forward by approving a $175 per-pupil increase in funding. The next stop is the Senate for discussion.

And while that will provide some revenue, attendees say more needs to be done to properly fund their costs. <snip>
