Nixon son-in-law eyes possible Senate bid
NEW YORK - Gearing up for a possible run for Senate against Hillary Rodham Clinton, former President Nixon's son-in-law Edward Cox announced the formation Wednesday of an exploratory committee that includes Henry Kissinger and other GOP elders.

The New York lawyer also accused Clinton of being "more concerned about the polls in Iowa and New Hampshire" than the needs of New Yorkers.

"She parachuted into New York solely for the reason of running for the Senate and now she's running for the presidency," said Cox, who is married to Nixon's daughter Tricia. "How can she focus on the problems of New York when she's really thinking of running for the presidency?"

The exploratory committee includes Kissinger, Nixon's national security adviser and secretary of state; Theodore Roosevelt IV, former chairman of the League of Conservation Voters and a managing director at Lehman Brothers; and William H. Taft, a former ambassador to NATO and legal adviser to the State Department.

5. 25% Mentioned on CNN Earlier... The FReepers are in Full Swing
Just coming out in their glorious win-mode. Now you know, if he was to win maybe, just maybe "then" Hillary would fight the hell back and reveal Voting-Machine, Corp Machine scams.

2. Poll: Hillary beating Cox 63% to 25%
Sen. Clinton had an all-time high 65 - 27 percent approval rating in a
February 9 poll by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack)
University.

New York State voters say 67 - 27 percent that Sen. Clinton deserves to
be reelected.

Clinton easily defeats a number of possible Republican challengers:
60 - 32 percent over Gov. George Pataki;
62 - 27 percent over Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro;
63 - 26 percent over former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld;
63 - 25 percent over Edward Cox, son-in-law of the late President
Richard Nixon.

3. Is that really all he's got?
Seriously, the repugs couldn't beat her with the carpet-bagger B.S. the last time and she wasn't a successful senator then. This guy reminds me of pretty much every moron who marries into a family with a name and then decides he's important enough that I should listen to him. Hillary will make this guy her bitch.

9. Cox is from old New York society, very posh --
the tone of his statement about Hillary surprises me. It's who he knows, through his family and background, I suspect, that has brought these power people to his side.
