Islamic leader warned of London attack 15 months ago
LONDON (AFP) - An Islamic leader warned in a Portuguese newspaper interview 15 months ago that a London-based group, Al-Qaeda Europe, was on the verge of a major attack.

"Here in London there is a very well-organized group, which calls itself Al-Qaeda-Europe," Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed, the Syrian head of the London-based group Al-Muhajiroun, told the Portuguese daily Publico in an interview published April 18 last year.

"I know they are on the verge of launching a big operation."

Bakri, 46, is suspected of having links with Abu Qatada, the alleged Al-Qaeda leader in Europe.

2. So why didn't he tell the Police?
Instead of a Portuguese language Newspaper?

3. Because "helping the police would mean renouncing Islam"...
However, Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, who leads the London-based group Al-Muhajiroun, told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that helping the police would mean renouncing Islam.

He said: "Muslims have a unique way of life. Co-operating with the authorities against any other Muslims, that is an act of apostasy in Islam. Muslims in Britain have the right to defend themselves, but without the use of violence."

4. Huh????
Co-operating with authorities is apostasy but failing to prevent the murder of dozens of people isn't? Sounds like one of the fundy freaks who was helping Eric Rudolph. That kind of rationalization is mind boggling to me.

11. has nothing at all to do with rationalization . . .
.
.
.

Most of us Westerners fail to understand the fervent beliefs of the Eastern people - and it will destroy us by not understanding this.

Many Iraqis feel bound by their "God" (Allah) to avenge the deaths of family members.

The "coalition" has killed tens of thousands of Iraqis - each of which has more than one relative "committed" , and probably more than willing to avenge the death of a family member by killing one or more of the "crusaders".

It would be their shame if they did not try, be it now or ten, twenty years from now, they will attempt to kill who they believe is one of the crusaders, or their allies.

This lack of understanding has created generations of hatred for the Western World -

I thank whomever, and mostly our previous Prime Minister Jean Chretien for refusing to participate in this illegal and inhumane invasion

I even wish we would be more forceful and just completely cut off trade with the US - the amount of Electricity and gas/oil we supply the US would surprise most people, but if there is one nation that should be sanctioned right now , I'm afraid I think it should be our southern neighbors

Feckadee - we got "Old Yeller" in our backyard, but no fence high enuf . .

7. Radical Muslim cleric Mohammed al-Garbuzi a possible suspect
Edited on Fri Jul-08-05 06:38 PM by allemand
Last night, a Morocco-born man was emerging as a possible suspect. Reports in Brussels suggest that British security officials have been seeking information from European counterparts about Mohamed Garbuzi.

An associate of the London-based radical cleric Abu Qatada, Garbuzi has been described by a Spanish judge as "Osama bin Laden's ambassador in Europe".

Garbuzi was last year convicted in his absence by a Moroccan court and sentenced to 20 years for involvement in bomb attacks in Casablanca in 2003.

Mossad Exposed in Phony`Palestinian Al-Qaeda' Caper
by Michele Steinberg and Hussein Askary

http://www.larouchepub.com/other/2002/2949idf_qaeda.html

The United States government has been provided with concrete evidence that the Israeli Mossad and other Israeli intelligence services have been involved in a 13-month effort to "recruit" an Israeli-run, phony "al-Qaeda cell" among Palestinians, so that Israel could achieve a frontline position in the U.S. war against terrorism and get a green light for a worldwide "revenge without borders" policy. The question: Does the United States have the moral fiber to investigate?

PA unveils Israeli intelligence scheme, denies Gaza links to bin Laden

Early last week, Rashi Abu Sba, head of the preventive security apparatus in Gaza, the equivalent of the Shin Bet, accused the Israeli security service of tricking young Palestinians into conducting missions in the name of Al-Qaida. Last Tuesday, a young man named Ibrahim was presented to reporters in Gaza. Ibrahim hid his face behind a mask, and told what happened to him.

16. Haaretz noted that Arafat's PA made some accusations. Still, you
quoted from racist and lunatic websites, so I'm afraid I can't take your contribution seriously.

Here's a hint for you: If you want a tenth of an ounce of credibility, don't use whatreallyhappened.com and LaRouche as sources of information.

17. Some trust Kissinger and Sharon. I don't trust war criminals.
I guess you prefere Kissinger and Sharon to LaRouche

"Right before Labor Day 1994, former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark testified to an international committee of jurists and public officials investigating prosecutorial wrong-doing in the LaRouche conviction, saying the LaRouche case ``represented a broader rang of deliberate cunning and systematic misconduct over a longer period of time utilizing the power of the federal government than any other prosecution by the U.S. Government in my time or to my knowledge.

...Later, in January 1983, former U.S. Secretary of State Henry A. Kissinger succeeded in persuading his cronies on the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board (PFIAB) to issue a recommendation for a covert national-security operation against LaRouche et al., according to the provisions of Executive Order 12333. This recommendation was promptly put into effect by the FBI that same month. This operation, which grew into one of most far-reaching intelligence operations ever directed against a U.S. citizen, resulted in the fraudulent conviction of LaRouche and six of his associates on Dec. 16, 1988, approximately six years after the Kissinger-prompted PFIAB initiative of January 1983."

be afraid-be very afraid--
"on the verge of launching a big operation"
The same people did this who did 911(why on 9/11?-Islamic terrorists don't dial 911 for emergencies---->911 is an American term)- ---
"911" couldn't have been done without the consent and knowlege of our own fascist regime--these events are always done with perfect timing, politically benefiting someone in particular-

20. The vague warning happened 15 months before the bombings
That's a pretty long verge. And the name of the group (Al-Quada-Europe) is not the same as the various groups we have heard claim responsibility so far. I don't this is evidence of much one way or another, although it does inject the word "Syrian" into the story.
