"Iraq urges Egypt to come clean on rebel contacts
(AFP)

9 July 2005

BAGHDAD - Baghdad called on Egypt to clarify how far it had gone in reaching out to insurgents, after its head of mission was killed by militants who had seized him on a Baghdad street.
~snip~
“The body has not been recovered,” Iraqi government spokesman Leith Kubba told AFP.
“But one element we are looking into is the fact Egypt tried to help in reaching out to Sunni Arab militant groups and even insurgents,” Kubba said.

“That could provide some insight into how he left his home without guards and was kidnapped from the street.

“We know that Egypt worked broadly on reaching out to Sunnis. It is up to the Egyptian government to clarify how far they went.”"

pretty sensational accusation from the Iraqi government?
