London Police Arrest Three at Heathrow Airport; 49 Bodies Sent to Mortuary

July 10 (Bloomberg) -- Three men were arrested earlier today at London's Heathrow Airport under anti-terrorism legislation, police investigating last week's bomb explosions said.

They were the first arrests since explosions tore through three subway trains and a bus on July 7, killing about 50 people in the deadliest attack on London since World War II.

``It would be inappropriate and pure speculation to draw any direct linkage to the attacks in London,'' Deputy Assistant Commissioner Brian Paddick told a news conference. Paddick declined to provide any other information, saying that people are arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act ``every week.''

Police said 49 bodies have been removed to the mortuary from the sites of the bomb blasts and more may still be trapped in wreckage. Three of the four bombs went off within a 50-second period and more than 700 people were injured in the attacks which have been claimed by groups linked to al-Qaeda.

1. Sorry, I'm very cynical but maybe with cause. I believe it might be
corruption/collusion/manipulation of citizens/media by the "Bottom feeders passing off as Leaders." As it can be proven statistically that most readers never get past paragrpah 3-4, it also can be proven that the first information balloon let go is the information most people remember. (Psychologists have proven this.)

We have seen over 100 times that arrests are immediately made to make it look like the Bottom Feeders are on top of things but later there is no evidence.

3. 3 Arrested in London Under Anti-Terror Law
Britons packed churches Sunday to mourn victims of last weeks brutal bomb attacks on London's transport system, while police sorted through hundreds of tips from the public and said they arrested three men at Heathrow airport Sunday under anti-terrorism laws.

Police disclosed the arrest during a briefing on their investigation, but cautioned against linking the detentions to the Thursday explosions on three subway trains and a double-decker bus in which at least 49 people were killed and 700 wounded. Sixty victims remained in hospitals Sunday.

"I am told that it is inappropriate and pure speculation at this stage to be drawing any direct linkages with the attacks in London, and at this stage we are not in a position to give any further information," said Brian Paddick, deputy assistant commissioner of Metropolitan Police.

Deep underground, police continued the hot, filthy work of searching for bodies from the worst of the subway bombings. Twenty-one bodies have been recovered so far in the tunnel between Russell Square and King's Cross stations, said Andy Trotter, assistant chief constable of British Transport Police. Those victims are part of the total death count of 49.
