BEIJING, July 11 (Xinhuanet) -- US Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton accused President George W. Bush of damaging the economy by overspending while giving tax cuts to the rich.

Clinton attacked the Bush administration which she said was focusing on helping the wealthy while hurting the middle class.

The middle class, Clinton said, has been key to Americans' success and stability but is now being threatened by an ailing economy caused by the growing national debt, growing health care costs, the loss of pensions and manufacturing diversity.

Clinton, who was speaking during the inaugural Aspen Ideas Festival, organized by the Aspen Institute nonpartisan think tank, didn't mention the presidential election in 2008. Enditem

2. Good job, Hillary.
I'm happy to give credit where it's due.

The only hope for this moribund party is economic populism. Perhaps Hillary's starting to get it.

We'll know she does when she ceases to support outsourcing, which is lethal to the US middle class.

Market fundamentalism--equally preached by Clintons and Bushes alike--is also destructive.

So, good start for Hillary. She has a long way to go.

3. This is reported in China, but not in the US?
isn't this what Randi Rhodes complains about all the time - our reps in Congress & the Senate are speaking out, they're just getting no coverage.

4.  So many morons in America.
This is another example of how the Democrats come up with facts and figures to support their contention that Bush is a walking disaster, The Freepers will attack Hillary on the way she walks, dresses or some other lame excuse.

So many morons in America.

Please, how can we convince people that it is worthwhile to utilize their power of reasoning?

How in the world can one argue against anyone who does not bother to think?

Hil likens W. to Mad mag simpleton

ASPEN, Colo. - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton slammed President Bush in a speech yesterday, accusing him of damaging the economy by overspending while giving tax cuts to the rich.
Clinton (D-N.Y.) also accused Bush of depriving U.S. soldiers of equipment needed to fight the war in Iraq and cutting funding for scientific research.

"I sometimes feel that Alfred E. Neuman is in charge in Washington," Clinton said referring to the freckle-faced Mad magazine character. She drew a laugh from crowd when she described Bush's attitude toward tough issues with Neuman's catch phrase: "What, me worry?"
